MR. AND MRS. ROBERT L. SCHAEFER BRIDAL COUPLE -- On the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Conway, Miss Susan E. C onway exchanged nuptial vows Saturday, June 5, with Mr. Robert L. Schaefer in a ceremony performed in St. Mary's Catholic church. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Robert L. Schaefer and the late Mr. Schaefer. LANGDON STUDIO PHOTO Diane Kraymer Wed In Double Ring Service A lovely double ring wedding ceremony was performed Saturday. June 12, at the First United Methodist church, McHenry, when Miss Diane Dixon kraymer became the bride of Mr. Robert Bruce Mason. They repeated their nuptial vows before Rev. Raymond L. White at the 6:30 evening rites in a church decorated with pink and white floral bouquets. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George G. Kraymer of 1324 W. Bay road, McHenry, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Albert Schultz of 1703 "L" street, LaPorte, Ind., and the late Frank Ira Mason. The pretty bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length gown of white dotted Swiss, fashioned with an empire waistline and long, full sleeves. Her fingertip veil was attached to a white floral headpiece. She carried a bridal bouquet of white pom pom daisies, pink bridal roses and baby's breath. Miss Nancy Lou Kraymer was maid of honor for her sister. She was attired in a floor length gown of pink and white checked gingham and carried a basket of pink daisies and baby's breath. Best man was Dennis H. Worden of Garrett, Ind. Ushers were Brad Pictor, Greg Borter and John Plutschak, all of McHenry. Immediately following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at Honey Bear farm, Powers Lake, Wis. When the newlyweds return from a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, they will reside at 807 Clay street LaPorte, Ind. Both young people are students at Purdue university, Lafayette, where the groom will be a senior in the school of Industrial Management. The bride will be a junior, majoring in Psychology. The groom is employed this summer at New York Blower company, LaPorte. JOINS HONOR SOCIETY Ninety-six students at­ tending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have been initiated into Psi Chi, national scholastic honor society in psychology. Among them is Holly Worm, 1700 Beach road, McHenry. Only students majoring or minoring in psychology with above average academic records were elected to the society. Psi Chi is an affiliate of the American Psychological association. Since the society was founded in 1930, it has grown to a membership of more than 40,000. V List Art Offerings At McHenry County College Oil painting for beginning and advanced students is offered by the McHenry County College Art department this summer. Painting I is for students who have some experience or in­ terest in art. Previous ex­ perience in oils is not a necessity. The class includes an introduction to oil painting and its technicalities. For those who wish to study art on a less formal basis. Drawing I and II is also offered this term. This class is an excellent introductory or refresher course for any student with an art interest. In addition to the above courses, the art department is also offering Art Appreciation. All classes carry transferable college credit and there are still openings in most classes. Advance registration is May 3 through June 4. Registration is June 17 and 18 at the Interim campus, 6200 Northwest high­ way. Crystal Lake. THEODORE VERES MARRIED -- A May 22 double ring service in St. John the Bap­ tist church, Johnsburg, united in marriage Miss Cecelia Freund of McHenry and Theodore Veres, stationed with the Navy in Charleston, S. Carolina. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene B. Freund of 3914 N. Richmond road, McHenry, and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. James Veres of Cleve­ land, Ohio, and the late Mr. Veres. He is serving as Navy elect­ rician on the U.S.S. Wainwright. June 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their Pierson street church. A few unusual items offered are boat, motor and trailer, home organ, home­ made fudge and numerous things to interest everyone. Refreshments, including doughnuts and hot dogs, will be available throughout the day and a popcorn stand will also be featured. Those retaining office for one more year are Pat Willar, secretary-treasurer; Ida Mae Adams, second vice-chairman; and Terry Toussaint, com­ munity interest chairman. The next meeting will be held June 18 at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Tonyan, 3410B Waukegan road, McHenry. Initiate New Members Of St. Agatha Court New members will be initiated at the June 22 meeting of St. Agatha Court 777, National Catholic Society of Foresters at Johnsburg. The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. at the Community hall. Mrs. Stanley Schmitt is chairman of the following committee: Mrs. Glenn Moehling, Mrs. Robert Joyce, Mrs.Mike Schaefer, Mrs. Walter Kalemba. Mrs. Alfred Oeffling, a national director of the National Catholic Society of Foresters and St. Agatha Court member, attended the seventy- fifth anniversary of the in­ stitution of St. Mary's Court 75 at Freeport, Sunday, June 13. A Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated in St. Mary's church at 11 a.m. by Rev. John Kraemer. The anniversary dinner was served at the Germania club, followed by a short program and the reading of the court history. Mrs. Paul Pitzen also attended. The dancers enjoyed the evening in a hall reminiscent of the beer stubes of Germany. The clubs represented from surrounding areas were The Hip Huggers, The Jacks and Jills, The Lake Promenaders, The AC Square Wheels and the Woodshed Whirlers, along with the Checkerboard Squares. The two callers, Lyle Stalker and Dick Colucci, waived their fees for the evning in favor othe Retarded Children's Olympic fund of Chicago. Hearty refreshments were enjoyed before returning home.
