Thomas B. Blanco, purchasing agent for the state of Illinois, and Earl F. Pfister, Kane county pur chasing agent, were both on hand to back up Auditor Schaffer's contention that central purchasing would be good for McHenry county government. Both Blanco and Pfister felt the proposed plan to hire a purchasing agent who would work out of the county auditor's office would be the most economical way to start a central purchasing program. The County Board Pur chasing committee will con tinue to evaluate the proposal at its next meeting.
