The village is governed by a board of trustees, and they meet on the first and third Monday of the month, at the beach house at 8 p.m. Mc­ Cullom Lake has its own police force. Earl Murray is the chief of police. The board of trustees is headed by George Luto. president of the village. Alan McKim is the finance director. Gene Frost park and beach commissioner. Gene Huff is in charge of health and welfare. Our police commissioner is . Ray Lary and Monty Yates the road commissioner. Our most capable village clerk is Carol Persthke. her office is at 5210 W. Maple Hill Drive. Building inspector is Frank Kurth, treasurer is John Boyle and the building commissioner is "Skeets" Morris. The board meetings are open to the public. Our village also has a director of cjvil defense. Marie Sladeck. The director is in need of volunteers to help in the case of disaster, there is no money involved to the volunteers, so why not give her a call0 FAMILY REUNION The weather was beautiful, relatives from Chicago, Rolling Meadows and Joliet, fifty in all. had a wonderful time at the home of Mr and Mrs. Gene Frost. It had been fifteen years since all had been together. Gene's relatives all remarked about our beautiful lake and scenery. Four grills were set up in the spacious yard of the Frosts and all had a wonderful time. A poodle was injured, a poodle that was on a leash in its own yard was almost killed by a shaggy black and white long haired dog and a large black and white police dog. It is tragic enough that a dog was almost killed, but what if it would have been a child" It could happen you know. If you own a dog it is your respon­ sibility to take care of it. the above should be enough to make you do it. Don Arnold. McHenry county assistant Extension adviser, accompanied the 4-H'ers to I'rbana. George Daigh. University of Illinois Extension 4-H Specialist, says that nearly 800 4-H'ers from ninety counties took part in this year's con­ tests. The members judged livestock, poultry, dairy, horse and vegetable classes. County teams and individuals were ranked in three groups. A team ribbon was given to counties with Class "A" and "B" judging teams. Ribbons were awarded to individuals placing in Classes "A" and'"B" Medals will be awarded to members taking part in the national contests later this year Register at the Village Clerk's or at Woodstock^ VILLAGE CLERK The office will be closed from July 18 through August 1.
