A dessert hour in honor of the fourteen new adult con- firmands and the forty new members received last week by' letter of transfer at the church will be held at the home of Eugene and Miriam Miller, 3912 W. ° .k street, McHenry, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Ellen Wende has returned from a week's visit in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gallery, in Evanston and while there celebrated her birthday by attending the circus at the Chicago amphitheatre. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dixon, Mrs. Clara Wright and Fred Bienapfl visited Mrs. Ed Hawner in a Chicago hospital last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Dickinson of Rockford were visitors in the William Jordan home last Thursday and their guests on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs.^ William Jordan, son, Gary, of' Downers Grove and another son, Richard, Chicago. Mrs. Richard Sedar and son, Kevin, of Crooked Lake visited her parents, the Fred Bienapfls, Wednesday. Miss Kathy Pitzen of Milwaukee spent Thursday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Pitzen. Mrs. James West of Itasca visited McHenry relatives Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Matthews of Evanston spent Sunday in the Edward Buchert home. Tommy McAndrews was home from his studies at Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa, for a weekend visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James McAn­ drews. Mrs. Elizabeth Michels returned Monday from a few days visit with Waukegan relatives and while there saw her great-great grandchild, Michelle Van Heirslee, receive her first Communion at Im­ maculate Conception church, church.
