PAr,F 16-PIAINDEA LER-WED NE SDAY. NOVEMBER 10, 1971 I>0RRA1NE SAUER Young Mother Well On Way Toward Goal "1 find McHenry County college is interested in helping students regardless of their backgrounds," says Mrs. Lorraine Sauer, a student at MCC, "the faculty is of high quality, and 1 like the flexibility of the programs here, as well as the numerous opportunities to learn" She further stated: "When 1 entered college, I had a lack of confidence, now as a result of being at MCC, I find I can achieve and it's a good feeling." Mrs. Sauer is a good example of the variety of people at MCC. She entered the college in 1970 and is well on her way to achieving her goals. What does her family think of her being a student? Both her husband and two children think it's great; and since she has always worked, doing such things as waitress, factory work, production control work, and office work, she enjoys the challenge of being a student. As a student, she is currently working toward achieveing her goal of developing a background in both middle management and secretarial science. She hopes to be able to use her secretarial background to enter business with an eye toward some level of middle management. Yes, Mrs. Sauer is a mother, a housewife, and a student. And as she says, "although it's sometimes hectic, it's fun to wear several hats, and I wouldn't have it any other way."
