Am erican Legion Auxiliary Netvs McHENRY UNIT NO. 491 by Pearl Cooper The membership drive of McHenry Unit 491, American Legion auxiliary, is in full swing with Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Miller as mem bership chairman. Mem bership in the American Legion auxiliary is limited to women who are wives# daughters, sisters or granddaughters of veterans who now belong to the American Legion or who died in the line of duty or after honorable discharge. "Ascribe, Join the Tribe" is the membership theme for the Department of Illinois, American Legion auxiliary, for the year 1971-72. If you are interested in becoming a member of the auxiliary, please contact Mrs. Miller or president, Mrs. David (Doris) Henken. Basically the reason for being a member of the American Legion auxiliary is to give active support to a patriotic service organization, and to contribute to the aims and purposes of the American Legion.
