Worry is like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere. by Fred Kusch With the exception of the 1961 NSC season when MCHS went undefeated and the league crown (only to forfeit it on an eligibility technicality), Bill Day 's Gridders 6-2 record is the best in the past 12 years of Warrior football, (not com posite records from 1948 to the present) The Orange and Black record was definitely the result of a\ team effort. Twenty men' started every ball game from the third game of the season on. Only two ball players went both ways for the Warriors. The Warrior football picture looks bright as the young Warriors on the Junior Varsity, Sophomore A&B and Freshman A&B followed the fine example set by the Varsity. The McHenry High School football program this season was one of the best in recent years as the following composite record shows. These statistics paint a bright picture for future Warrior grid hopes. Did I hear someone say "Wait till next year"?
