The band was terrific. The only thing not so terrific about the evening was the huge amount of neighbors who did not attend. Too bad, as not only did we all have a good time, but the profits go toward helping our road program, and we all know how badly those profits are needed. Special prizes were won by Inez Young, Linda Thietje, Bob Lamb, and Leone Kathan. Winners in the ticket sales were, first place, Carol Wilson, and second place, Dale Lonergan. Congratulations! ANNUAL WOMEN'S CLUB DINNER SUCCESSFUL The Holiday Hills Women's Club "Kick-Off" dinner was held on Nov. 10. The fall flower centerpieces, which were made and contributed to the club by my father-in-law, Harold Kellen of Glenview, were given to Linda Thietje, Barb Em mons, Jo Janik, Connie Catanzaro, Dee Wegener, Lil Goebel, Inez Young, Laurie Johnson, Pat Lonergan, and Mary Ann Mahon. Those on the dinner committee were Marge Connell, Barb Emmons, Linda Thietje, Carolyn Stackhouse, Bonnie Kellen, and Joan Cornwell. The next meeting will be a Christmas party. It will be the evening of Dec. 8 at the Mahon home. Everyone is requested to bring a $2 grab bag gift, and also a humorous gift. See you there!
