Among the subjects discussed at the business meeting was the dinner and play which was originally planned for Feb. 17. This was changed to March 10. This is a tentative date and there will be more discussion on this subject at the March meeting. A delicious dessert and lots of warm conversation were en joyed by all. CONDOLENCES Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Jim Roach. Jim passed away Feb. 4. GET-WELL WISHES John Bierman was injured in a toboggan accident last week. We hope he is on the mend. Kay Druml is in the hospital. We hope it will be a short stay. PACK 459 BLUE AND GOLD DINNER The annual Blue and Gold Dinner for Cub Scout Pack 459, will take place Thursday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. This is an evening for the entire family. The Den mothers are busy calling the Scouts' mothers about the dishes to bring for the dinner. Also plans are underway for the Scout-O-Rama which will be held March 18. WEDDING BELLS The very best of wishes go to Ray Bottari and Pamela Micek who were married Jan. 22 in Brookfield. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Micek of Brookfield. Ray is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Leonard Bottari of Lakeland Park. CAKESAND CANDLES Rosemary Holas, John Zimny, Norb Kwiatek and Kathleen Johnson will be making birthday wishes Feb. 11. Kathleen will be making that wish with six candles. Ricky Beirman will celebrate his tenth birthday Feb. 12. A happy birthday wish goes to Bruce Okal on Feb. 13. Cecelia Serritella celebrates a Valentine birthday on Feb. 14. She will be four years old. Kathy Becker and Gerry Wagner share Feb. 15 as their special day. Feb. 16 is a red letter day for Joyce Leopold, Wally Nuss, Danny Duffy, Georgia Manning and Jackie Creutz. Mary Barle, Judy Widhalm and Barbara Ann Brooks celebrate candle occasions Feb. 17. This will be Barbara's fourth birthday. SATURDAY NIGHT FUN SEEKERS Here we go with the stan dings for the Saturday Night Fun Seekers. The Coffins have first place all sewed up with 39M>-14»/2. The second place position is held by the Do- Nothings with 27-17. Hie Up- Yours with 241£-191£ are in third place. The Boomers have the fourth place with 22-22. The Stand Ins and the Ball of Confusion are tied for fifth place with 21 V^-22Mz. Sixth place went to the Grumpy Bottoms with 21-23. The Lucky Seven team has seventh place with 22^-21^. With 22-22 it's the Partners in eighth place. The Tops are in ninth place with 18-26. In there with tenth place are the Exibitioners with 17^-26 Ms. The Weigh Outs are holding up the rear in eleventh place with 17-27. There were some really great bowlers out for the evening of fun. Rich Mercure bowled the high series scratch with 618. For the women Juanita Grant had the high series scratch with 561. Rich had three high games to make his 618 scratch. For the men, Stan Slonina had the high series handicap with 633. For the women, it was Terry Arroyo with 607. Roy Appel still has the high game scratch' with 243. And Karen Crook had the high game scratch with 203. Don't forget the fun and games Saturday, Feb. 12. College Chorus, Symphony Will Give "Requiem" The McHenry County college chorus, assisted by the Nor thern Illinois Choral association and* the MCC Symphony orchestra, will perform "Brahms' Requiem, Opus 45", in a concert tobeheid at Crystal Lake Community high school auditorium Sunday evening, March 26, at 8 p.m. According to Mrs. Russell T. Griffith, director of MCC music programs, "there will be at least eighty people in this chorus, but at the present time we really need tenors." Rehearsals for the choral group are held at MCC in Room A307 Thursday evenings, 7 to 9 p.m. and at Crystal Lake Community high school Monday evenings, 7:30 to 10 p.m. Mrs. Griffith also stated that the MCC symphony will play the full score of Brahms' Requiem. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Saturday, Feb. 12, at MCC in Room D108 at 3 p.m. For additional in formation, those interested in joining the symphony may call MCC, (815 ) 459-6800. TOP STUDENT David Dowell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dowell of 2640 Sutton court, McHenry, received a perfect 5 point system at the University of Illinois, Champaign, where he is a senior.
