Mrs. Stuart Engh, Mrs. Lester Smith and Mrs. John Johnson attended the "Now Girl" conference. Featured speaker for the conference was Colina Ft. Hutchison, who has previously participated in a Governor's commission meeting on Youth. Mrs. Hutchison was educated in Britain and holds an ALCM and an LLCM. She is a volunteer resource person working with several professional groups con centrating on children and young people. The discussion groups featured at this conference i n c l u d e d " G e n e r a t i o n - PAGE Communication Gap", "On My Honor - Why", "Leader's Role In Drugs and Alcohol", "Boy - G i r l R e l a t i o n s h i p s , " "Ecology", and "Citizenship". Serving as resource people for the discussion groups were Dr. George Burger, McGraw Wildlife foundation; James Schuldt, District 300 schools; Mrs. Carolyn Trude, Barrington high school; Mrs. Carol Kalvaitis, Community Concern for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse; and Captain Skillman, Carpentersville Police department. Members of the board of directors of the Sybaquay council were also discussion leaders. During the luncheon a "Salute to Leaders" skit was presented with uniforms from 1912 through 1972 modeled. ON TOLL SUB-COMMITTEE Jack Schaffer, McHenry county Auditor and member of the Illinois State Toll Highway Advisory committee, has been appointed to a special sub committee to work closely with the Toll Authority in connection with their negotiations with Standard Oil and the restaurant operations related with the Tollway Oases system. Com mittee member Schaffer in dicated that this re-negotiation with the Oases contracts would give the Toll Authority the opportunity to up-grade the Oases service for the tollway user.
