We^ee all the animals coming out of hiber nation, birds returning, chipmunks chasing all over the yard, and children moving into the streets. We here at Wonder Lake sometimes feel 4 false sense of security for our children because many of us live on back streets with no major areas of traffic whizzing back and forth. Children walk, ride bikes and play on the streets. Many youngsters seem to have the attitude that the cars and trucks that do travel our roads will always see them and go around them. Others think it's jolly good fun to chase after the trucks - I've noticed this especially with the garbage trucks. There has been a problem with toddlers in the roads - these little guys are so small that it's impossible for drivers to see them. Bicycle safety, pedestrian safety, keeping toddlers in their own yards - these are things we don't often think of until a tragedy strikes our com munity. PLEASE - don't wait for that to happen. Let's do everything we can now to teach our children proper respect for CAREY APPLIANCE 1241 N.
