Mary Anne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lange of 3003 Walnut drive, Wonder Lake. The award was particularly noteworthy, for some of Mary Anne's education has been pursued under difficulty. Recently she underwent heart surgery to repair a difficulty with which she was born. Further surgery awaits her. The pretty, blonde young lady concluded her poster slogan with these words: "If a man threw something down, I would get a paper bag and put it in. Keep thewhole world clean. I love the world. God gave us this lovely world to take care of." NAMED TO CONFERENCE Congressman Robert Mc- Clory is one of three members of the U.S. House of Representatives who will serve as delegates to the U.N. Con­ ference on the Human En­ vironment taking place in Stockholm, Sweden, from June 5 to 16. The 35-member U.S. delegation, headed by Russell E. Train, chairman of the Council on Environmental Quality, includes such prominent figures as Illinois Attorney General William Scott, Assistant Secretary of State Christian A. Herter, Jr., Fire Department Auxiliary Plans Rummage Sale The Wonder Lake volunteer fire department auxiliary will sponsor a rummage sale on July 14 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the firehouse on the east side of the lake. Donations of good, clean, usable rummage are needed. For pickup of items, please call Mary Swearingen at 653-7821 or Lily Visconti at 653-9706. The auxiliary has been assisting the firemen in buying the special radios used in their homes to contact them immediately for Are calls and rescue squad calls. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Hensley, Yuba City, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nielsen. Wonder Lake, are paternal grandparents. Maternal great grandmother is Mrs. Hensley of Yuba City, Calif., and paternal great grandfather is Niels Larsen of Miami, Fla. Baby Edward's mother is the former Christine Hensley. CONDOLENCES Our condolences to the Roy Schmidt family of 2811 Rosemarie Drive. Mr. Sch­ midt's mother, Mrs. Alice Sch­ midt of Chicago, died on June 3 following a long illness. The wedding took place at 4 p.m. in the Com­ munity Church of Flossmoor. Their reception was held in the church with two hundred guests attending. The bride is the daughter of Charles and Louise Epperson of 817 W. Southside Ave. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Watson of Flossmoor. The groom's brother and sister-in-law were the best man and matron of honor. Guests attending from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Lameca and daughter of Lakemoor, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wagner of McHenry, Nancy Ostrowski and Frank Felker, both of Fox Lake. Choral Group Names Officers The Northern Illinois Choral association elected its board of directors for the forthcoming season, its tenth year in fur­ nishing musical entertainment to area communities. Elected were Helen Zukowski, president; William Dysart, first vice-president; Ray Hull, second vice- president; Nona Uthoff, secretary and Jean Hartung, treasurer. Also elected to the board were LaVera Dugger, Phyllis Harms, Bruce Mac- Donald, Harold Veenstra and Dr. Fredrick C. Foster. Peg Griffith was reelected director of music. The association will present concerts Dec. 3 and during the Easter season, both in cooperation with the McHenry County college chorus.
