The six attendants wore floor length chiffon gowns of wedgewood blue, sleeveless, with a modified mandarin collar and pleated, attached capelets. Their matching horsehair braid hats had a crown of blue flowers and three velvet streamers. "They carried colonial bouquets of shaded blue flowers and baby's breath. The best man was Orvin "Skip" Nordness of Lake Forest and the groomsmen were John Bonacorsi of Plainfield, Ian Yavitz of Skokie, Joseph Stoneking of Deforest, Wis., Steve Stolen of Cottage Grove, Wis., and Robert A. Gwinn, cousin of the bride, of Oak Ridge, Tenn. The bride's mother chose a long lemon chiffon gown with rhinestone trim and matching accessories. Her corsage was a white gold-throated hybrid orchid. The groom^s mother wore a beige silk floOr length dress with a lace redingote. Her accessories were gold and her corsage a white purple throated hybrid orchid. The impressive double ring ceremony was performed by Dr. Herbert B. Anderson, minister of the church. David Calahan, tenor soloist, sang "The Call" and "The Lord's Prayer". Following the service, a dinner and reception were held at Ferry hall, a private girls' school in Lake Forest. The s? he\ Shower Honors Bride-To-Be Miss Kathy Blake was guest of honor at a miscellaneous pre- nuptial shower held recently at the Edward Blake home on Richmond road. Hostesses were members of her wedding party, Karen and Nancy Blake, her sisters; Mrs. Chester Spl\H of Waukegan, Mrs. Ter Ryland of Connecticut and the flower girl, Michelle Weber. Thirty friends and relatives enjoyed an afternoon of games on the lawn. The young couple will honeymoon in the West, and upon their return will reside at Bayles Lake, near Champaign, HI. The bride is a graduate of the University of Kentucky tn , Lexington, a member of Delta Gamma, national social sorority, and Delta Omicron, international honorary music fraternity. The groom attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison, was formerly field sales manager for Tempo Design, a subsidiary of Stan dard Oil, and is currently in executive training for Standard Oil St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Johnsburg, was the scene of a lovely summer wedding Saturday, July 22, when Linda F. Colomer walked down the aisle to meet her bridegroom, Richard D. Piatt, at the altar. They repeated their vows before the Rev. Leo Bartel at the 3 o'clock afternoon services. Linda is the daughter of Mrs. Frances Colomer of 1317 W. Sunnyside drive McHenry, and the late George M. Colomer. Richard is the son of Richard R. Piatt of 2504 N. Nordica, Chicago, and the late Mrs. Nancy Piatt. Special music was presented at the services by soloist, Michelle Reining, ac companied on the organ by Karen Smith. Walking down the aisle on the arm of her brother, George Colomer, Jr., the pretty bride chose a formal length, empire gown of white imported organza featuring a Venice lace bodice, square neckline, and long bishop sleeves. Her cathedral length iUusion veil ouUined with Venice lace was attached to a banded lace headpiece. % The bride's godmother, Mrs. Frances Kaiser of Itasca, at tended her as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Sandra Conway of McHenry, a friend, Mrs. Nancy Krcmar of McHenry and Miss trances Piatt of Chicago, sisters of the groom. The attendants wore formal length, empire gowns of chiffon in pastel shades of apricot, Nile green, orchid and turquoise, fashioned with wide lace bands which accented the hemlines and double-tiered sleeves. Each wore a matching neck band and satin headpiece bows enhanced with matching illusion veils and streamers. The groom's brother-in-law, Richard Krcmar of McHenry, served as best man. Groom smen were Bill and Pat Colomer, brothers of the bride, and Mike McEvoy, all of McHenry. Roy Moss of Rochester, N.Y., and Terry Miller of McHenry, served as ushers. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Colomer chose a formal length gown of champagne chiffon accented with a satin midriff. The bridegroom's stepmother, Mrs. Bunny Piatt, wore a formal length gown of white knit, enhanced with black scalloped trim. Following the ceremony, a reception for 200 friends and relatives was held at the American Legion home, McHenry. The young people are both graduates of MCHS, Linda in 1967 and Richard in 1965. The bride works as service manager for National Tea Co., McHenry, and the groom is employed as a manufacturer's representative for Bob Burns and Associates. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Acapulco, the newlyweds will make their home at 809 Southgate, McHenry. MR. AND MRS. FRED HUFFMASTER OBSERVE ANNIVERSARY - Mr. and Mrs. Fred Huffmaster of 1201W. Rocky Beach road, McHenry, celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary July 21 at their home. A buffet dinner was served for twenty-five. The couple was married July 21, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Ind. They have lived here since that time. Riverside drive, McHenry, celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary recently with a dinner at the American Legion home for 100 relatives and friends. The former Annelise Christensen came from Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1946 to visit an aunt in Chicago. It was there she met her future husband. They were married July 18, 1947, in the Danish Lutheran church of Chicago. The couple has three children, Paul of Crystal Lake, Karen LaFontaine of Palatine and Bruce, still at home. They also have two grandchildren, Mark and Lisa. WAYNE ROBERT WELSCH Wfel LANGDON STUDIO PHOTO f The First Presbyterian church of Lake Forest was the setting for a beautiful 6 o'clock candlelight ceremony July 22, uniting in marriage Miss Nancy Morton Fisher, daughter of Mrs. James Allen Fisher of "Havenhill", McHenry, and the late Mr. Fisher, and Mr. Wayne Robert Welsch, son of Mrs. Robert Welsch of Madison and Poynette, Wis., and the late Mr. Welsch. S i x t e e n c a n d e l a b r a positioned at alternate pews, from which cascaded blue and white flowers and vines, lined the central aisle of the sanc tuary. Blue and white altar flowers and two eight-tiered candelabra were the only other decorations in the quietly elegant church. The bride was lovely in a candlelight ivory gown of beaded peau d'ange lace and organza over faille. The jewel neckline was sheer and the sheer straight sleeves were scalloped at the cuff. The at tached chapel train hpd a bow detail at the top, and lace and seed pearl appliques were scattered on the skirt and train. Her headpiece was a filigree Venice face framer, pearl encrusted; her veil was a full length silk illusion tiered elbow carried a gardenias, ivory roses, stephanotis and baby's breath with just a touch of blue for accent. She was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by Herman L. Leap, close family friend of Huntington, West Virginia.
