Pam is the daughter of Joan and Paul Schwegel of Lakeland Park. Kenneth is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hughes of Fremont, Neb. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Holiday Inn in Fremont. The bride and groom were also honored at a dinner dance reception at Hunter Country Club, Saturday, Sept. 9. The newlyweds will make their home in Fremont, Nebraska. SERVICEMAN VIETNAM BOUND Family members gathered at Tom and Rose Wagner's home in Wonder Lake, Sunday, Sept. 10, to say "good bye" to Tom. Tom, who is in the Air Force, will be leaving for a tour of duty in Vietnam this weekend. He is the son of Gerry and Lloyd Wagner. Ray Bottari and Steve Benes will add another candle to their birthday cake on Sept. 21. Joseph R. Dehn was recently enlisted in the U.S. Army by Sergeant Harer at the Army recruiting office, 144 Washington street, Woodstock. Dehn enlisted under the Special Unit Enlistment Option program. After taking complete mental and physical testing to qualify for the assignment wanted, Joe chose the Army Defense command in thb Chicago area. This choice was guaranteed to him before he enlisted. After completing eight weeks of basic training he will report to Ft. Bliss, Texas for Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in the missile field. Joe is from the McHenry area and is a graduate of McHenry High School. His parents, Catherine and Richard Dehn, reside in Johnsburg. Sgt. Harer, the local Army recruiter, said other young men and women interested in this option or any training the Army offers should contact him at his office, or call Woodstock 338- 2974. ITEM: Leather furniture should be washed at least once a year with soap and water. Then it should be wiped with a fine fur niture cream. Work the cream thoroughly into |he furniture so there is no danger of staining clothes. FUND RAISING There will be a fund raising dinner for State Auditor Michael Howlett at the V.F.W., * 3002 W. Rt. 120, in McHenry, Wednesday, Sept. 20. Cocktails will be at 6:30 and dinner at 7:30. This event is being sponsored by the Democratic Central committee and tickets may be purchased from precinct committeemen. In addition to Mr. Howlett, also appearing to speak will be Dean Barringer, Democratic candidate for State Comp troller. County candidates will also appear for the fund raising dinner.
