The stainless steel cart was filled with toys and games for children of all ages. Mrs. Barb Riggs acted as chairman of the project and Mrs. Joyce Hopp was responsible for buying the toys. The purchase was made possible through funds realized from the spring rummage sale and the chicken barbecue. "Dad, it says here that a certain man was a financial genius. What does that mean9" "That he could earn money faster than his family could spend it." Club Offers Scholarships The Women's club of Wonder Lake is again anticipating applications from Wonder Lake students - high school or college - for their annual scholarships. An outstanding boy and girl will be selected and presented with a $250 scholarship each, to be used at the colleges of their choice. Applications of Wonder Lake students should be submitted in resume form containing the following: High school or college student; grade point average; professional and social organizations; major; need; community service; additional informations, in­ cluding personal recom­ mendations. More than one applicant per family is permissable. Scholarships will be awarded at the fall cabaret dance Nov. 11, 1972 Women's Club To Open Fall Season Oct. 13 The McHenry Woman's club will hold its first regular meeting of the season at the V.F.W. clubhouse Friday, Oct. 13, at noon. A social hour will be held »; 12 to 1 p.m., with Mrs. Vaughn Jones acting as hostess for the day. The business meeting will start at l o'clock. An auction will be under the chairmanship of Mrs. Ernest Bartz, with Mrs. William Wilson as auctioneer. A get- acquainted card party for members only is scheduled after the auction.
