REVIVAL SERVICES The First Baptist church, Rt. 31, McHenry, will have revival services beginning Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and continuing each evening until Oct. 15. There will be a guest evangelist and Angela Amici, contralto, local opera singer with the Lyric Opera, will offer musical selections each evening at the gospel services. A nursery will also be provided. tWi ifiPliil JAYNE McMIL LAN-ROGER LUDWIG KING AND QUI EN ASPIRANTS - Roger Ludwig and Jayne McMillan aspire to be king and queen at the annual Homecoming Oct. 13 at McHenry high school. Roger is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ludwig of 4221 South street. He participates in football, basketball, track and is a member of M club. Pep club and at­ tended Boys, State. He plans to go to college. Javne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Thomas McMillan of Wonder Lake. She is captain of the cheerleaders, student leader, belongs to Modern Music Masters, Pep club, is vice-president of the Chorus and was a representative to Girls State last summer. Park street were given a surprise party on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 1, at the home of their son and daughter- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Houghton, 3815 High street. The celebration was in honor of their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Arthur and Ella Krause were married Oct. 2, 1947, in Woodstock by Judge Charles Hayes and have lived in McHenry since, where Mr. Krause conducts his business. Jelinek of McHenry entertained Sept. 24 at open house for Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jelinek, who were married recently in Berkeley, Calif., while attending the University of California graduate school. Many of the guests were from McHenry, Elgin and the Chicago area. Also attending were relatives from Los Angeles, Calif. The young couple reside in McHenry. Both are teachers. Mrs. Jelinek teaches in Antioch and her husband in Fox Lake. WSCS Sponsors Annual United Nations Luncheon The Women's Society of Christian Service, first United Methodist church of McHenry is having its annual United Nations Luncheon on Thur­ sday, Oct. 19, at the church. In conjunction with this luncheon, they are also selling little items of much interest in the "Country Store". The store will be open from 10 a.m. until luncheon at noon and reopen afterward.
