PAGE 9-PLAINDEALER-WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1972 Frosh Drop 16-14 Game To Crystal Lake By Dick Rabbitt The McHenry high school freshmen lost their 3rd game of the season to Crystal Lake 16 to 14 on Saturday morning at West campus field. The young Warriors played a fine game, especially in the second half. The Warrior of fense was again led by Brian Nuss with 208 yds., in 27 carries. This is some running by a freshman. He scored both Warrior touchdowns on runs of 42 and 30 yds. The offensive line again opened up the holes for the backs. Jackson, Freund, Smith, Rosing, and Engmark did an outstanding job. Brian Lund's pass to Brett Jackson was good for the only extra point. After some first half problems the defense played quite well in the second half. Tony Bentz had 11 tackles, Mike Mai had 7 and Tommy Ludwig picked up 6. Next Saturday morning at the early hour of 9 the young Warriors host Woodstock at West campus.
