The locations named by Edison Chairman J. Harris Ward are located in the nor­ thern Illinois vicinities of Byron and Braidwood. The Byron site is located about 18 miles south­ west of Rockford, near the town of Byron in Ogle county, while the proposed Braidwood plant location is in Will county, about 21 miles southwest of Joliet.
