Jan. 5,1973) Legal Notice O " ORDINANCE McHenry Shores Ordinance No. 21 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF McHENRY S H O R E S , M c H E N R Y COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: It shall be unlawful (a) to discharge a firearm anywhere in the Village, (b) to detonate any explosive anywhere in the Village, or (c) to shoot, fire or use any bow and arrow, crossbow, catapult or sling-shot anywhere in the Village. SECTION 2: Section 1 does not apply to or affect any of the following: (a) Peace officers of any governmental unit or agency while engaged in official duties, and any person summoned by any such officer to assist in the Kreservation of the peace while e is actually engaged in assisting such officer. Jan. 5,1973) Remind Motorists About Defensive Driving Course • f » A reminder to all licensed motorists comes from Henry Edgerton, executive secretary of the McHenry County Farm Bureau. -- A defensive driving course, will be held Jan. 10-11 at the Farm Bureau building's auditorium, and advance registration is a necessity. You can register in advance by calling the Home makers Extension service or the Farm Bureau. Only cost for the course is for materials which can be paid at registration time or when participants come to the first meeting. Edgerton said late comers can register at the door, but advance registration is ad­ visable since the minimum must be met before the program is assured. The program will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and lunch will be served both days of the driving course. This program is aimed at traffic accident prevention with the backing of the National Safety council. Altogether, instruction involves eight hours of classroom-type program with movies, visual aid, talks and discussion.
