Hbrry^R: Dean Named McHenry IRMA Spokesman \ Harry R. Dean, Ben Franklin store, has been named McHenry spokesman for the Illinois Retail Merchants association. Hugh E. Muncy, president of the state-wide merchant organization, an nounced that the selection Of Dean as the McHenry IpfcSl chairman "was based ory his long-time affiliation with IRMA and his active leadership in the McHenry merchant com munity." Dean, in his role as IRMA local chairman, will be in strumental in maintaining effective communications between McHenry merchants and the association. IRMA represents the retail industry before governmental agen cies, legislative leaders, and Illinois consumers. Muncy indicated that the appointment of Dean is a welcome addition to the IRMA leadership program. "We will continually rely on Mr. Dean to assist us in providing the association with a sensitivity to local retailing needs. Through our communications network of local chairmen throughout the state, the Illinois Retail Mer chants association will maintain its United Voice for retailing." The Victor Smith family who have been living on the place, returned to their old home in Memphis, Mo. They were accompanied by George and William Glosson who took a load of their household goods for them. William G. Todd, age, 72, died suddenly at his farm home near Lake Defiance, Jan. 18. ? Axel Johnson, employed as a farm hand on the old Frisby farm now owned and operated by Thomas Thonneson southeast of this city, had his left hand badly crushed when he got it caught in a corn shredder while at work. He was taken to Woodstock hospital where it was found necessary to amputate just above the wrist. A window in the front of the Bolger Drug store was smashed Friday evening about 9:30 by a man who deliberately tossed a ginger ale bottle in to the plate glass shattering the lower part of the window. The license number on the car was obtained and it was found to be listed to a Chicago man. Registration is held from 8 a.m. through 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday at the main campus, 6200 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake.
