ROSE POWERS Mrs. Rose Powers, 88, of 10 Colonial drive, Bedford, N.H., died Friday, March 30, at the Mt. Carmel Nursing home in Manchester, N.H., following a long illness. Born in Chicago Oct. 21, 1884, Mrs. Powers was well known in McHenry through her visits to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert (Maryrita) Stilling. For the past four years she had been living in Bedford. Besides her daughter, she is survived by a son, Edward J., of Bedford; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was offered at the Blessed Elizabeth Seton church in Bedford with Msgr. Leo F. Hines the celebrant. Most Rev. Han- sberry, Vicar General; Msgr. Robert E. Mulvee, Chancellor and Father George E. Ham, Assistant Chancellor. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery in Bedford. THANK YOU For ycur support in the township election held April 3, 1973 TIM 200,000 PRESCRIPTIONS - On March 30, Nye's Drug store completed its 200,000th new prescription. Roy E. Carlson's son, Paul, was the recipient. Mr. Nye estimates that this new prescription represents over one-half million new and refilled in the twenty-five yeafs since the drug store opened its door. Mr. Carlson is shown here with Bill Nye receiving a gift certificate to acknowledge the event. It was mentioned that Nye's daughter, Lesleigh, also had her thirteenth birthday on March 30, making the day even more noteworthy. The grand opening sale runs through April 15. The mart is a franchised operated store open seven days a week.
