As a result, the office received a newspaper of their own making from pupils in Mrs. Moerschbaecher's second grade classes at Valley View. Large groups of Parkland Junior high students also toured the jalant last week. From the fifth grade of St. John's school arrived a letter in which the pupils said, "We reallv enioved the tour of the Plaindealer. We were happy togo through such an interesting place. But we were most curious about how the pictures were made and put into the Plaindealer. After we back to the school, we were talking about how fun and in teresting, and educational it was. We also thank you for your time you gave us". The laws of conscience, though we ascribe them to nature, actually come from custom. -Michel De Montaigne. Timothy, it was double trouble. The double was in the form of the Vaculas' 3-year-old twins, Amy and Susan; the trouble was the mischief that two youngsters can find without difficulty in the family kitchen. Unaware that they were being observed, Susan stirred up a bit of strawberry frosting while her sister, Amy, decided to try her hand at chocolate. Via a small ladder, Amy made it to the top of the counter with her bit of treasure, but Susan was only part way up when both of them were discovered - by Mother and the cameraman. Ben Summers Receives Get-Well From White House Ben Summers, recently confined to McHenry hospital following a heart attack, found that one of his most treasured cards came from the White House. Signed by Richard Nixon, President, it read: "Mrs. Nixon and I were sorry to learn of your illness, and we want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. You have our best wishes for a quick return to good health". Mr. Summers believes the special notice resulted from his work on bond rallies and with the USO during World War II. 25,000.00 30,000.00 119.79 143.75 THE FIRST NATIONAL BA N K O F MCHENRY 3814 W F S T E L M M C H E N R Y I L L I N O I S 600SC 81E 385 5400 \
