Miss Klepper explained she chose McHenry hospital for her emergency experience "because it is a Trauma center and because I have heard many good reports \ about this hospital." She said the volume of patients in the emergency room and the willingness of physicians and nurses to assist in teaching is making her stay at McHenry "a^ meaningful educational experience." Miss Klepper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Phillips, Island Lake, - started the program April 27 and will conclude it at McHenry May 25. Club Square Dancers Will Give Program The program for the meeting of the McHenry Senior Citizens club on Monday evening, May 28, at 7:30 will be presented by the club square dancers. This is a program everyone will enjoy. Mr. Alf Heggeland and his wife Mary organized this group and are very happy with their progress and success. Club members who are interested in square dancing are urged to attend the square dancing Miss Albright, Patrick Faunt Wed Saturday In a simple ceremony per­ formed by the Rev. Raymond L. White at the First United Methodist church, Saturday, May 19, at 11 o'clock Miss Barbara Jeanne Albright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Albright of 3019 Crescent avenue, exchanged nuptial vows with Patrick J. Faunt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Faunt, 1906 Rogers, McHenry. The petite bride was lovely in a long white, chiffon, empire style gown, with lace trimmed bodice, lantern sleeves with wide lace cuff and full train edged with daisy pattern lace. She wore a Juliet cap trimmed with seed pearls and a fingertip veil. She carried white daisy poms, white roses and baby breath. Attending her sister as matron of honor was Mrs. Alfred (Kathleen) Ballstaedt. She was attired in a full length, baby blue polyester crepe dress. In her hair she wore a large ribbon bow with multi­ colored fresh daisies and roses. She carried a bouquet of white daisies. Miss Suzanne Faunt of Johnsburg was flower girl and wore a white organdy over taffeta full length dress ap- pliqued with pink flowers and a pink ribbon in her hair. She carried a bouquet of multi colored daisies. Michael Faunt was best man for his brother. Richard Albright, brother of the bride, ushered. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Albright chose a long, blue, polyester crepe dress with a white and yellow carnation corsage. Mrs. Faunt wore a full length pink dress with white carnations and pink roses corsage. A reception for 100 guests was held at the Long Horn restaurant. Following a trip to Canada and Niagara Falls, the young couple will reside at 809 Southgate apartments, McHenry. The bride graduated from McHenry high school in 1965 and is employed at Un­ derwriters Lab, Northbrook. Her husband was a 1962 graduate of McHenry high school and is employed at Lakeland Construction. Mrs. Faunt was honor^at three showers before her marriage. Mrs. Barbara Sparrowgrove entertained at a miscellaneous shower in her home in Antioch. The second party was given at the home of Mrs. Ray Olszewski, McHenry, with Mrs. Fred Sorensen and Mrs. Wayne Kleinfelder as co- hostesses. Co-workers of the bride gathered at the fire house in Mundelein for a shower given by Mrs. Sandy Johnson. classes every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at Landmark school since there is room for additional dancers. At the meeting of May 14, Mr. Grayson, tour chairman, an­ nounced that there will be two buses to Cantigny Gardens, (the McCormick Estate, Gardens and Museums) June 27. Those who don't have reservations should get them at once from Louise Giel. This trip to Winfield will be a very pleasant and interesting one. Everyone is asked to bring his own lunch as there is a very nice place provided on the estate for this purpose. During the business session the club membership voted unanimously to make a $100 donation to the McHenry Historical society and a $100 donation to the Pioneer Center for the Exceptional, two very worthwhile endeavors. One hundred and eighty-five were at the meeting, and everyone enjoyed the book review by Rev. Lake Shore drive, Wonder Lake, have announced a double engage^nenjt in their family. Their daughter, Constance Jo, will marry Pfc. Ronald Joseph Freund of the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Sheridan. Miss Miller, a 1971 graduate of McHenry high School, is employed at a Crystal Lake nursing home. Her nance is a CAREN LEE MILLER son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard M. Freund of 3602 N. Richmond road, McHenry. Caren Lee Miller's engagement to James F. Opelka also has been announced. She will be a 1973 graduate of McHenry high school. Her fiance, son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Opelka of 928 S. 19th avenue, Deerfield Beach, Fla., is employed in McHenry. A double wedding will take place July 14. Set June Installation Of C D of A Officers Court Joyce Kilmer No. 573, Catholic Daughters of America, held its monthly meeting and election of officers Thursday, May 17. As there were no nominations from the floor, the recording secretary pro tem, Mrs. James (Oleva) Clucas, cast a ballot for the unanimous election of the slate of officers presented by the nominating committee at the April meeting. The new officers for 1973-74, who will be installed after a pot- luck supper Thursday, June 21, at 6 p.m. in the K.C. hall, 1304 N. Park street, are regent, Miss Bertilia Freund, vice-regent, Mrs. William R. (Mary Jean) Lahs; second vice-regent, Mrs. Mary (John R.) Freund; financial secretary, Mrs. Jeannette (Daniel) Driscoll; treasurer, Mrs. < Alvera (Eugene) Nye; recording secretary, Mrs. Mary Agnes (George) Harmann, Sr.; lec­ turer, Mrs. James (Oleva) Clucas; monitor, Mrs. Mary (Jacob) Kantorski; organist, Mrs. Dorothy (Carl) Weber and 2-year-trustee, Mrs. Ann (Fred) Studin. Other officers whose terms are unexpired are Mrs. Olive (Joseph) May, 6-year-trustee, and Mrs. Helen (Henry) Heuser, 4-year trustee. .After the installation, three new members will be received into the court. They are Mrs. Mildred (Frank) Dempsey, Mrs. Clara (Louis) Slegar and Miss Frances Michels. Plans have been completed for the Day of Recollection at the Benedictine convent Wednesday, June 27. A bus has been chartered for the round trip. Announcement was made at the meeting and nineteen have signed up at that time. There are accommodations for thirty-six on the bus. Members who are interested and who do not want to be disappointed should contact the regent, Mrs. William R. Lahs, Mrs. Eugene Nyevr Mrs. John R. Freund as soon ws possible. The Rev. George Brown, formerly retreat piaster at Cardinal Stritch Retreat house at St. Mary of tl\Lake, Mundelein, will conduct the Day of Recollection. Father Brown was connected with the Diocesan Missions for many years also. The court, through MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM MAY MARRIED - St. Mary's Catholic church, Fremont Center, was the setting for the April 28 wedding of Marlene Lenzen and William May. They repeated their nuptial vows before the Rev. Morrissey at a 4 o'clock afternoon Mass. Miss Lenzen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lenzen of Route 2, Mundelein, and Mr. May is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred May of 8021 Blivin, Spring Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Murray of Mundelein were Sunday visitors in the home of her sister, Mrs.Irene Adams. Mrs. Phil Doherty, Mrs. John H. Miller and Miss Clara Miller helped Mrs. Ceil Chamberlain celebrate her ninety-second birthday in Milwaukee Wednesday of last week. She is still in good health and very active despite her age. Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson of Burlington, Wis., and Mrs. Louise Meyer of Elgin were recent visitors in the home of Mrs. Kathryn Worts. Mrs. James West and daughter, Kim, of Itasca called on McHenry relatives Sunday. Mrs. Emily Rose Windsor of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, spent the past week in the home of her cousin, Mrs. LeRoy Smith. ________ EARNS DEGREE Mary Jean Santi of McHenry was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the ninety-ninth commencement exercises of Valparaiso university Sunday, May 20. Speaker at the con­ ferring of degrees was Governor Otis R. Bowen of the state of Indiana. President A G. Huegli of Valparaiso university was the preacher at the Bac­ calaureate service held in the University chapel on Sunday morning.
