Reorganize Driver License Exam Stations Reorganization of drivers' license examination stations throughout Illinois was an nounced today by Michael J. Howlett, Secretary of State. As part of the program, forty-nine exam stations will be closed July 1. Facilities in the r e m a i n i n g e i g h t y - n i n e operating stations will be upgraded to provide faster service to applicants. "This reorganization is the result of a professional study on the services, activity and costs of every station in Illinois," Secretary Howlett said. "It will increase efficiency throughout the state and put services on a far more realistic population balance." "Our surveys have shown this plan will give improved drivers license service throughout the state, par ticularly in population in ters," Howlett said. Howlett pointed out that many of the stations have been operating on a haphazard basis, open only two or three days a week with limited hours. More than half of the scheduled to be closed stations have been staffed by only one examiner. "Exam stations will be located so that there still will be a station within a 30-mile radius of every resident in the state," Howlett stated. "The average traveling distance from the stations which will be closed to a nearby station is only 16.6 miles." The Woodstock station will not be affected. g * CLUMP BIRCH TREES 10' to 15' 24* VALUE MAGNOLIA TREES 1695an/19 $24.00 Value MAGNOUA * GARDEN EQUIPMENT RENTALS R0T0TILLER and POWER RAKE RENTAL IJPNWS Reg. 69' 00 BULBS GLADIOLAS 10 for 98* V All Varieties DAHLIAS REGAL LILIUM ASGR0W SEED TAPES and WIND0WSILL PLANTERS Vi PRICE 3 for Ts 3 for 3 for $185 bqx ot TOMATO PLANTS!#OT Box of With Purchase Of # ' Q SHADE TREE *-.» Brookwood Garden Center "Our business is G R O W I N G" 4505 W.
