STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD The Frank Gregorys took a trip to Arkansas and met several McHenry people. Like so many of our nativesr they visited Norma and Verne Thompson's Triple K to do some fishing and enjoy the beautiful scenery. That's in Peel, Arkansas. They also visited John and Dorothy Weichmann in Yellville. Dorothy has joined the ranks and is writing a news column for the local paper. Not far away they saw Clem and Marge Adams at another attractive site where they operate a trailer court. Our report is that "Clem "and Marge are looking great." And they just put in a swimming pool that is a beauty. So--we do keep track of McHenryites who move to distant parts. As per his wish, Tony Paluch, Sr., was brought home to his final resting place. His wife, the likeable Loretta, took a real christian view of her husband's death, saying, "He went to a better place." Had a visit with Loretta and her fine family and kept thinking of the days when they operated the Palace bowling alleys. It was a friendly place and much fun was had by all who entered. With Monday being a holiday on the new calendar, we ask our sports page contributors to get their news in as early as possible. The Cubs surprised us with the trade or sale of Joe Pepitone this week. They say he got fired because he went fishing. Some guys who fish for that outside curve are still on the payroll. The McHenry Recreation Bowling Alley had its annual "Who's Best" tournament and it was quite a race to the finish. The first place team beat thc^ second place team by only 15 pins to win the trophy. "Best in the House" was R.A.W. Construction with 3925 High Series and 1093 High Game. The "Second Best" was McHenry Drapery with 3910 2nd High Series and 1030 2nd High Game.
