Providing that no complications set in, the dit ching will start in several weeks. In some cases this-will mean.cutting into what some of us think are our lawns. The problem of ditching is very complicated due to un derground utilities like gas lines, water lines, etc. DRIVERS HEED SPEED LIMIT Now that school is just about out we take this opportunity to remind drivers that the speed limit is 25 mph on all roads and no road is a through road. Be very cautious at intersections. Many children and bicyle riders are now on the roads. Senate Okays Debt Ceiling , The Illinpis Senate has given unanimous approval to a measure sponsored by Senator Jack Schaffer (R-Cary):to establish a debt ceiling for state government. The bill, which implements the new State Constitution, sets the maximum debt that can be incurred by the state in a given year at 15 percent of total state appropriations for that year. It also stipulates when the state contemplates borrowing money to pay its debts, the loan proposals must be advertised for ten days in New York, Chicago and Springfield, with the ads showing the amount of the proposed debt and the time and place for payment of principal and interest. Commenting on the bill, BOWLING NEWS Mrs. Lillegard will take charge of the bowling league if the response is large enough. The league would be for residents of McHenry Shores first and then if openings are available we will take the names of your friends. The time would be9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Fridays at the McHenry Bowling alley. A baby sitter will be provided during these hours at the bowling alley. The children whould be between 2 years old and school age. Call Mrs. Lillegard now 385-8500 for your reservations. News - News - News will be gladly accepted if yoil would just call me. ~r\ Schaffer said, "One of the biggest concerns of Illinois taxpayers is the state's con- inual financial free-wheeling. While this bill is no panacea for all the financial ills of the state, it does provide a great deal of protection to the taxpayers against possible tax increases resulting from over-spending, and confines spending by state officials to well defined bounds. In short, it acts as a fiscal restraint on state spending." Regular exercise is the secret of old age.
