Everyone -affected by the need help handicapped persons-menja-lly or physically f andicapped-is invited to come forward to answer the rallying cry of the McHenry- County Association for the Retarded. That should include virtually everyone for no person, no family is unaffected by the social, physical or moral im­ pact of this very significant health care problem-the need to assist those who are han­ dicapped. McHenry _ County Association for the Retarded plans a benefit this Sunday evening, starting at 6 p.m. A small donation is the only financial investment involved, though one can help by par­ ticipating in the auction, awarding of prizes and other activities. This benefit will be held at the Johnsburg Com­ munity club, and benefit is in response to the curtailment 'of funds from the state and national governments for community-based programs. For information on buying tickets, call the office at 385- 3310. Tickets may be purchased at the door. R a y m o n d R o h l w i n g , president, said the organization doing its best to avoid a cutback in the services they provide the handicapped. "We want to maintain this service as a community concept, rather than a setback to the in­ stitutionalized concept," he asserts.
