They repeated their nuptial vows before Pastor Herman Graef in a church decorated with candelabra and altar bouquet* of pompoms, car nation, mums and gladioli. Miss Evans is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Evans, Jr., of 3716 W. Waukegan road, McHenry, and Mr. Kirchhoff, who lives at 910 Lincoln square, Elk Grove Village, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kirchhoff of 446 S. Arlington Heights road, Arlington Heights. The bride chose a full length, ivory silk, organza gown fashioned with an empire bodice, high Victorian neckline and bishop sleeves in peau d'ange lace. The A-line skirt and chapti length train were bordered in alencon lace. Her chapel length illusion veil enhanced with lace appliques fell from a Camelot headpiece of matching lace. Groom smen were Robert Abney of Arlington Heights, a friend of the groom, Donald and Bill Kirchhoff of Arlington Heights, brothers of the bridegroom, and Tom Evans of Chicago, the bride's brother. Serving as ushers were Dick Reiniking of Arlington Heights and Art Benton of Dundee, friends of the groom. The bride's mother chose a gown of mint green of imported Venice lace. The bridegroom's mother wore a pink silk chiffon dress. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the McHenry Country club for 250 guests. Upon their return from a week's trip to Miami Beach and Jamaica, the couple will make their home at 910 Lincoln Square, Elk Grove Village. The bride is a 1969 graduate of M.C.H.S., and this past May received her degree in Elementary Education from Bradley university, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi social sorority. This fall she will start teaching in Wauconda. Her bridegroom graduated from Arlington Heights high school in 1967. Cans FRIDAY - SATURDAY & SUNDAY Illinois Pork Cook-Out King To Be Selected Plans are well under way for bold and aggressive moves to promote pork at the Illinois State Fair this year. Leading the attractions will be a much improved and ex panded Illinois Pork Cook-Out contest. Winner of the contest will be named Illinois Pork Cook-Out King and will be awarded an all-expense-paid trip for two to Las Vegas, Nevada. The Cook-Out King will also represent the state in the National Pork Cook-Out contest that will be held in March of 1974 in Des Moines, Iowa. The lucky fellow who comes in second place this year will receive a beautiful gas grill and $50 cash. Third place winner will receive a gas grill and $25 cash. Fourth place wins a gas grill and fifth place wins $25 cash. This year, in order to en courage more participation at the local level, each contestant at the state contest must be sponsored by a local pork producer association. All sixty- one local associations are eligible to enter one contestant and the local must contact the state office by July 15 to state whether it will have a can didate. The state contest will be held Sunday, Aug. 12, the day with the largest attendance at the fair. It will be held at the band shell, near the water fountain on the southeast portion of the fairgrounds. All contestants must be ready to cook by 11 a.m. on that' day. The second big pork at traction at the fair will be a Pigskin Style show, planned for Tuesday, Aug. 14, at l p.m. in the auditorium of the Illinois building. Blondes seem to be clever at turning sweethearts into husbands, or vice versa. Mr. Robert F. Steffan of Wonder Lake claimed Miss Patricia Carol Butler as his bride in a nuptial ceremony performed Saturday, June 23t in the First United Methodist church of Elgin. Dr. Carleton C. Rogers officiated at the 4:30 p.m. candlelight service. Miss Butler is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Butler of 1125 Oakley avenue, Elgin, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Steffan of 5406 E. Wonder Lake drive, Wonder Lake. Special music included "The Wedding Song" and "The Lord's Prayer". Miss Butler was charming in a chantilly lace, empire fashion, chapel sweep gown with cameo neckline and fitted bodice banded at the midriff with satin. It featured long, wrist length, bishop sleeves. Her nylon illusion, chapel length mantilla veil was bor dered with chantilly lace, secured to a peau de soie caplet bonnet highlighted with chantilly lace motif and blusher veil. Acting as maid of honor was her sister, Lori Butler. Bridesmaids were Barb Goerne, Penny Holshouser, Nancy Krambeer and Mrs. Chuck Denk, close friends. The junior bridesmaid was Kathy Diedrich of McHenry, niece of the bridegroom. All were attired in rainbow shades of violet, lime green and yellow. Martin Conway of McHenry served the bridegroom as best man. Groomsmen were Gary Schaefer, Chip Butler, brother of the bride, Buck Alderman, Jim Steffan, brother of the groom, and Dave Olszak. Ken Diedrich and Paul Steffan of McHenry and Gary Rinaldi and Nick Beauford were ushers. A dinner for 160 guests was served at the Elgin Ramada Inn following the ceremony. The couple left later on a wedding trip to the Ozarks, and upon their return will reside in Normal, 111. Both are students at Illinois State university, where she is a senior majoring in Home Economics. Her husband, who is enrolled in Industrial Technology, is employed at E u r e k a - W i 11 i a m s in Bloomington. MCC Summer Theatr& Plans Four Productions Students participating in McHenry County college's summer theatre internship will perform in four productions during the month of July. Those participating include college, high school and grade school students, and interested adults. The first two productions are "Jack and the Giant" and Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite". There will be two matinee per formances of "Jack and the Giant" Saturday, July 7. Performances are scheduled at 1:30 and 3 p.m. at Central grade school auditorium in Crystal Lake. "Plaza Suite" is scheduled for July 13 and 14 at 8 p.m. These performances will also be held at Central grade school auditorium. Producer and director for the productions is James G. Kenna, instructor of theatre at the college. graduated in June, 1972, with a degree in Accounting. He was a member of Theta Chi social fraternity at Bradley. He is now employed as a cost accountant for Pettibone corporation. Prior to the wedding, three showers were given in honor of the bride. Mrs. Donald Kir chhoff hosted a miscellaneous shower, Mrs. Barbara Reid and the bridesmaids honored the bride at another miscellaneous party and a kitchen shower was given at the home of Mrs. Herbert Reihansperger. The girls have had two charm courses given by Cynthia Metevier, former professional model. Mrs. Metevier has coached them on make-up, hair styling, poise and stage presence. The winner will receive a 20- hour course at a career and modeling school and a check for $25. The first runner-up will receive $15 and the second, $10. The queen will be entered in the McHenry county queen contest. The pageant next Sunday at Nativity Lutheran church hall in Wonder Lake starts at 2 p.m. Punch and cookies will be served by members of the Woman's club following the judging.
