Seems as though there ain't many trustworthy folks in important government positions, now-a-days. an' even th' president can't trust his appointed officials. Th' wonder is, whoc'n we trust, these times o' unrest. I'm r'mindedo' th' word that went out in th' late fifties, that we better watch out who we trusted, 'cause subversive agents wuz a bein' stationed all o'er th' country, an' eventually man. Mrs. Erb selected a floor length, dotted Swiss dress in light blue for her daughter's wedding. Mrs. Polan wore a 'd be holdin' important positions, wi' intent t' destroy our American wayo' life, an' not t' trust th" next-door neighbor. Wi' certain foreign govern ment succeedin' in a gainin' th' confidence o' th' president, seeming'ly affectin1 th' thinkin' public, at jist th' right time, when publicity regardin' certain activities seem directed at his integrity, it makes a body wonder jist what's a goin' on. There's too many unhappy events a takin' place, right now, t' afford one a sense o' comfort. At this time o' year, when we celebrate Independence day, J u l y 4 , i t b e h o o v e s e v e r y o n t f V us, thinkin' Americans, t' stand firm 'til all th' facts 're in, 'fqre makin' judgment, in any direction. We, all, have our opinions, but some 're made on th' influential opinion o' th' press, which seems t' be guilty, these days, in some instances, o' a puttin' idees inter th' fertile ground o' uninformed folks, an' it grows like wild-fire. Jist point an accusin' finger at a t>ody, an' watch th' crowd pick it up, an' build it inter somethin' big. We c a n ' t a f f o r d t ' l o s e c o n t r o l o ' our senses. This ol* l&dy likes t' be in formed, afore a passin' judgment, an' even then it ain't easy t' take sides. Ever'one hears an' sees things different, an' their nuals pic^ up issues like a windirpickin' up leaves. It aip't wrong t' be less vin dictive, an' more open- minded,in order t' draw correct opinions when all th' evidnce's in. Main' judgments wi'out the facts, contorts our thinkin'. So, as this celebrated week is upon us, let us demonstrate our true American heritage, of free-thinkin' people, an' keep our minds open in order t' practice th' policies fer which America stands. There's plenty o' time t' give th' devil his due when we gather all th' facts. Grandma Radtke long, coral-colored dress with ivory trim.
