Beers when they moved to McHenry. Paul Gerasch, well known McHenry plumber, has opened a plumbing shop at his home on Pearl street. Mr. Gerasch has a master plumber's license, having successfully passed his examination at Waukegan and is fully capable of doing any kind of work along this line. A large crowd of sport fans attracted by the "free" sign at the high school, assembled to watch the splended program at the gym last Thursday night. The faculty five taught the varisty how the game should be played and won from the high school lads 22-14. The married Men's Athletic club d i s p l a y e d c o n s i d e r a b l e ! adeptness at handling a volley ball and pleased the crowd with their antics. Little Miss Eleanor Pries of Waukegan arrived last Friday for a several days visit in the George Bohr home. She is recuperating nicely from her recent operation for mastoid. A good will star club quilt party was held at the home of Mrs. Lillian Cox last week. Three tables of bridge were in play and blocks for the quilt were sewed. The pipe organ at St. Patrick's church will be dedicated Tuesday evening, March 15, in an organ recital. The organist will be Walter Flandorf of Chicago. The Kimball organ which has been installed in the church is one of the finest in this part of the country. Mr. and Mrs, Joe Fries have moved from West of the tracks to the Vandenboon house on Waukegan street. Earl Dowell is at St. Therese hospital, Waukegan, where he has been seriously ill. His many friends are hoping for a speedy recovery. Leo Blake was the victim of a surprise party Sunday evening when a party of relatives and friends invaded his home on Main street in honor of his birthday anniversary. Attendance pins were presented at the Methodist Sunday school session with Alice Nickels receiving a bar for four years of perfect at tendance at Sunday school. Six months pins were received by Bobby and Arline Hendrichs, Glen and Bobby Petereon and Mrs. Nickels. Dr. Cook, who is giving the Schick test, addressed the high school body Tuesday noon. He commented on the orderliness and discipline of our high school.
