That action means that the land will not be pur chased, as proposed, for a bike trail. The district will now seek to"- have returned to it $750 placed in escrow until consummation of the sale. The 55 acres of abandoned railway right-of-way from Hebron to Genoa City, Wis., was first offered for sale by Joseph Schmitt of Hebron last October. It is 100 feet wide and 51x2 miles long. After two appraisals, the board voted in March to enter into an option to buy the land for $1,200 an acre or a total price of $66,000. When the op tion date expired June 27, the trustees voted to extend the date at the seller's request until July 15 because of problems encountered in making the survey Numerous objections had been made to the project by Hebron residents. Ten of them were present at last Thursday's meeting. Most speakers would be more careful of what they say if they knew someone in the audience would ques tion their statements. a positive reaction to the tuberculin skin test. Pregnant women must have a written request from their physician to be x-rayed on the mobile unit. Heavy cattle have difficulty getting rid of body heat. And when their body temperature gets too high, they become overactive which can progress to convulsions and death. Cut the amount of roughage fed during hot weather, because it produces more heat during digestion than does grain. Provide plenty of salt and cool water. When the temperature is above 90 degrees.F. and the humidity is 85 percent or more, allow fat cattle access to trees or other shade where air movement is not restricted. If fat cattle must be main tained in small, sheltered lots, spraying the cattle may be necessary.
