.•J Tasty -Topic Spaghetti with Liver Sauce I pound liver, cut in *4-inch cubes V* cup flour 1 teaspoon salt % teaspoon pepper 3 tablespoons lard or drippings 1 small onion, chopped 1 can (16 ounces) tomatoes 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce % teaspoon oregano % teaspoon garlic salt 1 package (7 ounces) spaghetti Combine flour, salt and pep- per. Dredge liver cubes in sea­ soned flour and brown slowly on all sides in lard or drip­ pings. Add onion, tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano and gar­ lic salt. Cover tightly and cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until just tender. Drain and arrange on hot platter. Pour sauce over spaghetti. 6 servings. Ball Game Trip Planned By St, Agatha Members Members of St. Agatha Court No. 777, National Catholic Society of Foresters at John- sburg, are planning to attend the Cubs ball game Friday, Aug. 10. The bus will leave St. John's school at 9:30 a.m. Reservations should be made by Aug. 6 with Mrs. Paul Pit- zen. There will not be a business meeting in August, but at a special meeting in September delegates and alternates to the state convention will be elec­ ted. The annual Day of Recollection of the Rockford Diocese association will also be in September, but no further details are available at this time. Hold Old Fashion Ice Cream Social Saturday evening, Aug. 4, between the hours of 5 and 8 o'clock, there will be an old fashion ice cream social held on the grounds of the First United Methodist church, corner of Center and John streets, weather permitting. In case of rain, the festivities will move inside the church to Youth hall. The event is sponsored by the Women's Society of Christian Service. There will be music to en­ tertain guests, and for those with a desire for more than ice cream, barbecue and other sandwiches will be available. FALL FASHION SHOW Mrs. Tony Knor heads the committee planning for Montini Parents association first annual Parade of Fall Fashions and chicken lun­ cheon. It will be held Wed­ nesday, Aug. 22, at the V.F.W. clubhouse. Servers will be Montini's young ladies. Little folks and their mothers, alike, are looking forward with great eagerness to the old fashion ice cream social which will be held at the First United Methodist church grounds Saturday evening, Aug. 4. WILLIAM LaFONTAINE MARRIED RECENTLY - Miss Vicki Bruce and Mr. William Lafontaine were married recently in the First United Methodist church of Glen Ellyn. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bruce of Glen Ellyn. Mr. Lafontaine's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Lafontaine of Johnsburg. The Rev. Thomas Harmon and Father Leo Bartell officiated at the ceremony. The newlyweds are residing in Joliet. Miss Lazalde Is Married To Mark Ritthaler April Lazalde and Mark Ritthaler chose Saturday, July 28, as the date of their wedding in Christ the King Catholic church, Wonder Lake. They repeated their nuptial vows before the Rev. Palmer at a 3 o'clock afternoon service held in a church decorated with baskets of multi-colored car­ nations and white pew ribbons. Miss Lazalde is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lucien Lazalde of 2808 E. Hickory drive, Wonder Lake, and Mr. Rit­ thaler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ritthaler of 2509 S. Birchwood, McHenry. The bride wore a formal length gown of chantilly lace and organza featuring a chantil­ ly lace bodice, square scalloped neckline, long lace sleeves and a hoop skirt caught up with organza flowers around the hemline. Her elbow length illusion veil was attached to a princess tiara headpiece of pearls and crystal. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and pink rosebuds. For sen­ timent, she borrowed her mother's wt»ich. Linda Rasmussen attended^ the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Wilma Rasmussen and Donna Malugen. Mary Antoinette Rasmussen served as junior bridesmaid and Loralei Lazalde was flower girl. The attendants wore rainbow colored chiffon gowns in shades of blue, orange, pink and light blue, fashioned with long sleeves, pleated, ruffled high necklines and fitted bodices. Matching bow headpieces with floor length veils completed their ensembles. The program for the evening was given by Ms. Darlele Fiske of Woodstock, representing the Audubon society, and consisted of many beautiful pictures of Australia depicting the wildlife and flowers, shrubbery and trees. It was a very interesting program. Jim Benesch, chairman of the "Friends in Deed", reported on the progress of his committee, asking members to volunteer their services in providing transportation^ meetings for members who do not drive. It was voted unaninfously to make a donation of $*00 to the dyed to match their individual dresses. The flower girl carried a basket of rose petals. William Ritthaler served his brother as best man. David, Michael and Christopher Ritthaler, brothers of the bridegroom, served as groomsmen. Handling ushering duties were Peter Ritthaler, the groom's brother, and Michael Rasmussen and Gerald Lazalde, brothers of the bride. Ring bearer was Anthony Lazalde, nephew of the bride. The bride's mother chose a pink crepe, sleeveless sheath with white accessories and a green carnation corsage. The bridegroom's mother wore a floor length mint green voile gown with white and yellow daisy trim and a wrist corsage of green carnations. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the American Legion hall, McHenry, for 150 friends and relatives. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Wisconsin, the young couple will make their home at 2506 S. Chestnut, Wonder Lake. The newlyweds are both graduates of M.C.H.S. The bride graduated in 1973 and the bridegroom in 1972. Miss Lazalde is employed at1?Oak Mfg., Crystal Lake, and her bridegroom works as a carpet layer for Pahlke Carpet Ser vice. MR. AND MRS. MARK WEGENER WED JULY 14 - A wedding of local interest was solemnized in St. Patrick church, Wadsworth, 111., Saturday, July 14, uniting in marriage Miss Gail Hoffmann and Mr. Mark Wegener. Miss Hoffmann is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoffmann of Rt. 1, Wadsworth, and Mr. Wegener is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wegener of Ingleside. The bride attended Carmel high school and Loyola university dental school. Her husband also at­ tended Carmel high school and Illinois Benedictine college, Lyle, 111.
