She worked as a secondary level Spanish instructor at Northwestern Military and Naval academy in Lake Geneva, Wis. She will be the College's reference librarian. James A Bykowski, McHenry, is employed by the college as graphics technician in the audio-visual department. Bykowski has attended McHenry County college, Loyola university and Northern Illinois university In his work at the college, Bykowski will be aiding the faculty in the preparation of pre­ programmed materials for the teaching of students on a more individually-oriented basis. Bykowski will also teach the beginning photography class at MCC. Ralph Kidler of Williams Bay, Wis., has been employed as a full-time instructor of automotive technology and welding at McHenry County college Fidler was a resident of Marengo for most of his life. He graduated from Marengo high school, attended Billings Polytechnic Institute and received the B.S. degree from the University of Illinois in aero-engineering. He also received training throughout the 20 years he spent working as a salesman, service manager, parts manager and dealer for an automotive company. Linda Lawrence will teach biology at the college beginning this fall She has a B.A. and M.S. in Biological Science from the University of Denver. She v ill be teaching classes in general biology and microbiology. Ms. Lawrence resides in Elgin Edwin Meyer will teach electronic technology in the fall He received his education at the University of Illinois - Chicago Circle campus, and has professional experience at several companies. He and his wife live in Wonder Lake. Ossie Rometo received his B.S. degree from Indiana State university and his M.S. degree from the Tyler School of Fine Arts of Temple university. He and his wife live in Car- pentersville Fdwin Solon, who will be teaching courses in ornamental horticulture, received both his B.S and M.S. degrees from the University of Illinois. His professional experience in­ cludes work in Turf"--\ss and Spring Grove Eva Freund 675-2135 Christian Mothers Society Plans To Install Officers The Christian Mothers Society of St. Peter's parish will install new officers into the society on Thursday evening, Sept. 20 A dinner will be held at Orsolini's restaurant, Rich­ mond, at 6:30 p.m. All the women of the parish are invited and urged to attend. ANNUAL PICNIC Members of the Holy Name Society of St. Peter's held their picnic this year cm Sept. 5, Wednesday, at 7 p.m. on the church grounds. They were host to the members of the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph's, Richmond. MEETING A meeting of the Lotus Country Woman's Club was held at the home of Mrs. Pauline Horak on August 15. A pot-luck buffet lunch was served. Plans were discussed for the coming card party and luncheon to be held Sept. 19 in St. Peter's hall. It was decided that the menu would be stuffed tomato salad, hot rolls and cake. This event is for the benefit of the various charities and projects the club con­ tributes to annually. Members are requested to help prepare the hall on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 18 and to be present on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. VISITS Mrs. Ida Koberstine has returned from a trip to Michigan where she visited her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Caryl Olson, in Bloomfield Hills. She did some sightseeing, crossing Mackinac bridge and going through the Ford Museum were a part of her tours. She also spent some time with her grandchildren, Richard Olson, in Pontiac, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wayne LaCasse, Royal Oaks, Mich. IN CLOSING During the past months I Golfcourse maintenance. Hold Fund Raising For La Leche League A fund raising drive has been announced by the Cinnamon chapter of La Leche League International. Five groups in the chapter hope to raise suf­ ficient money to cover the cost of sending leaders to the in­ ternational convention to be held at the Palmer House in Chicago during July, 1974. No money is involved as the group is collecting bonus coupons now found on many household products. Mary Williams, fund raising chair­ man, hopes the local com­ munity will assist the group by sending coupons to La Leche league, in care of Mrs. Robert Humphreys, 1506 N. Ramble road, McHenry. Mrs. Williams also an­ nounces a garage sale Sept. 14 and 15 at the home of Carol Heisler, 205 Gladys, Fox River Grove. Crafts and baked goods The contract documents in­ cluding plans and specifications may be obtained from W.A. All proposals must be ac­ companied by a Bank Cashier's Check, Certified Check, of Bank Draft in an amount of not less than ten (10) percent of the amount of the bia. A bid bond will not be accepted as a proposal guarantee. No bids will be withdrawn without the consent of the City for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. The contractors and sub­ contractors shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the City of McHenry, Department of Labor or as determined by the court on appeal, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under the contract. A contract bond to guarantee faithful performance of the contract including the above prevailing wage clause in the amount of 100 percent of the contract will be required. SETS RECORD A new all-time record for weekly output of electricity was set by Commonwealth Edison company in the week ended Sept. l. Thomas G. Ayers, Edison chairman and president, said a total of just under 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours was supplied to 2,700,000 customers of the company during the week's span of abnormally hot weather. This surpassed the previous weekly high output of the company by over 143 million kilowatt-hours.
