JOHN E. COLNON HOME Colnon Home Included In October Tour One of the Holiday Hospitality day tour homes Wednesday, Oct. 3, will be the John Colnon House. , Th^ "Pasture" is the name given to the countryside residence of Mr. and Mrs. Colnon. Built about 1959, it is basically a U-shaped home, and that is the only basic thing about this most unique house. It overlooks some of the most virgin and rolling acreage in McHenry county. Mr. Colnon acquired this distinctive home from Mrs. Maurice Needham, long time Woodstock resident, the very first day he viewed the premises. As the visitor first sets foot in the foyer she is welcomed, at first glance, to expanses of sparkling glass walls, wide board walls in crisp white, and gleaming highly polished floors. Everywhere is the evidence of a home carefully attended to, belying the fact of nine children, ranging from almost teen-age to college, in residence. What the visitor assumes to be a guest closet in the foyer, which opens into the patio terrace, is deceivingly a wet bar. This is just one of several ^interesting and unusual con veniences in a well planned home. The spectacular view of the countryside from the large windows in the living room is awesome in its beauty; however, the choice of interior colors and furnishings blends perfectly so as not to detract from nature's setting. Colors include yellows and greens and a touch of melon. Completing the picture is a fireplace with a raised hearth of marble. The guest bath and closet just off the foyer is an uncommon blending of subtle blue greys and dark greys-truly a cap turing of the old adage "elegance is simplicity". A garden manicured and attended with precision viewed through an entire wall of glass windows would make anyone thrilled to awaken to such glory! Such is the master bedroom in its delicious color of soft, dustv-rose pink. The walk down the long hall to the girls' bedroom is quiet and soft. The windows are shut tered and walls are white containing door after door of built-in shelves and storage immaculately stacked and kept. Five pink beds, as pink is for proposals, greet the visitor at the end of the hall in the girls' room. The beds have lovely white wicker headboards, for weddings, and lime green appointments, for lollypops, no doubt, completed by a rosy colored fireplace. Again one sees the expanses of windows- the south overlooking the garden and the east viewing the rolling countryside. The girls powder-room can hardly be believed! It's an entire room. It is of beautiful browns, blending beiges, built- ins and the most interesting Jonathan Livingston Seagull ceiling light fixtures. There is yet the dining room, the boys room, the glories of the outside, and the auxiliary's wonderful Weeders for the visitor to behold. This is but one of three remarkable and special homes offered for tour by the Woman's auxiliary of Memorial Hospital for McHenry County. The tour always has its start at the Gift and Thrift shop on the Square in Woodstock. All details will be available there. >|C 5f©j< * ** * * $ % >fc $ * * Communi ty Calendar Scout Uniform Exchange A resale and exchange of Girl Scout uniforms at all levels of scouting is planned in McHenry. Some of these arti cles report the amazing results of how MIND CONTROL® students have learned to totally relax, improve concentration, memory, break bad habits, and increase productivity and creativity; and yes-- function psychically- -by learning to de velop and put to practical use the ESP that we all naturally posses. UNIVERSITY RESEARCH Recent research at various universities throughout the country has revealed some of the phenomenal capabilities of man through proper control of his brain waves. Exploration of this almost unknown con tinent--the human mind--has been pion eered by a soft-spoken researcher, Jose Silva of the Institute of Psychorientology in Laredo, Texas. 26 YEARS OF RESEARCH The Institute of Psychorientology, under the direction of Jose Silva, began their research in MIND CONTROL in 1944 to see if it was possible to increase an indi vidual's IQ factor. Amazingly, Silva dis covered that not only could IQ be increased but a person trained in this technique could even control the thought process to such an extent that it could be applied to practical advantage. The implications of this breakthrough were staggering. In- depth studies also reave led that anyone with a normal mental aptitude could devel op so-called ESP and clairvoyance when trained in the Mind Control method. In 1966, the Institute decided to release their findings to the general public. Techniques have been researched and refined to where only 40 to 48 hours of class time are required to learn the SILVA MIND CON- TR OL® method. COME AND LEARN We invite you to attend this special intro ductory seminar which will include a dis cussion of Alpha brain wave training-- latest reports of psychic research--and an explanation of what is taught in the other SILVA MIND CONTROL ® course. 150,000 GRADUATES COAST-TO-COAST CRYSTAL LAKE BARRINGT0N - ELGIN SEMINARS # ^MONDAY, OCT. 1 THURSDAY, OCT. 4 MONDAY, OCT. 15 MARTINETTIS RESTAURANT 6305 N.
