4 Lakeland Park Anne Moore 385-6448 Mark Kosper Makes Debut In Vann Family • Kasper and Lucille Vann were excited and very happy Oct. 5 as that's the day their new baby boy made his debut into their world. Mark Kasper weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 ozs. and was 19 inches long at birth. He was welcomed home not only by proud Dad and Mom but his little 21 - month - old sister Marjorie! Our congratulations to the proud family and welcome to little Mark! TROOP 320 NEWS Heard fourteen girls of troop 320 had a fun day last month when they marched in the parade at Johnsburg. They were: Lisa Bassett, Rhonda Bingman, Diane Comstock, Kim Cynowa, Lorie Hansen, Julie Hodges, Gail Hutt, Vicky Kopsell, Dawn Parisi, Cindy Schimon, Kelly Swedo, Wendy Waller, Debbie Wijas and Sandy Wohlert. Leaders told me there were no problems except that one set of parents got lost! At their meeting last Monday Kelly Swedo was elected treasurer and Rene Pleucinski was chosen scribe. Debbie Wijas was named at tendant. Congratulations! The girls are all looking forward to • the picnic tomorrow at Woodstock. I understand all McHenry troops will enjoy the outing. BIRTHDAY GIRL! Melody Patterson was bir thday girl on Oct. 5 and - celebrated with her family and friends. I heard she received many lovely presents. In ad dition to her Dad and Mom, Patt and Judy, and brothers, Matt and Mark, and her sister, Michelle, Ken and Sue Volz and their children, Denny and Debbie, Ken's brother, Howard, and his family, Sue, David and Terry, Homer and Melinda Bassett and their daughters, Lisa and Amy, joined in the festivities. DINNER OUT H was Mom's turn to be the birthday girl at the Volz home recently. She was guest of honor at dinner out with her hubby, Ken, his folks, Ernie and Helen Voletz, and neigh bors, Patt and Judy Patterson. Everyone had a fun time and belated birthday wishes to Sue Volz! Glad to hear you're feeling better, Lester! MOLINE VISITORS The Treadwell family had fun visiting with relatives last weekend. Jerry's brother, Donald Rimkus, and his son, Chad, drove here from Moline for the weekend. They all en joyed a fish fry Friday night and were glad they had a chance to sit and chat and take in the good weather the rest of the visit. The Treadwell ladies, Penny, Susan, and Patty, were glad to have two more good- looking fellows around the house! BUSY TIME FOR RANDI! Randi Tollifson's fifth bir thday party was planned around her recent stay at McHenry hospital. She had her tonsils and adenoids removed and though her mom says things are quieter around their home, Randi is feeling better! Her folks, Skip and Pat, didn't want her to miss a bir thday celebration so they took Randi and her friends Linda Walinski, Michelle and Bobby Nystrom, Michelle Patterson and Meg Gerard to a restaurant in Algonquin where they saw a movie, were entertained by clowns and received party favors. Pat's mom, Mrs. Dorothy Brautigan, and Randi's big brother, Mike, went along to help. Everyone had a good time and it made Randi's hospital visit a little easier! Hope to hear all about their trip when Anny and the boys return! FAMILY OF THE WEEK Meet Lester and Mary Dobbins. Lester and Mary Dobbins came to our community four years ago from Arlington Heights. Les is retired and enjoys gardening and puttering around their home. Mary is kept busy with her club ac tivities. She is president of the Lakeland Park Women's Club, a member of the Hi Pal Club of Arlington Heights, Marac of All Saints Methodist church, and both Les and Mary are members of the McHenry Senior Citizens club. They were married 46 years ago and are parents of a son and daughter and have four grandchildren. Their son, Lowell, and his wife, Darlene, have two sons, Michael and Tommy. Their daughter, Ellyn, is married to James Iddings and they have a son, Todd, and a daughter, Mary. Lynn. Lester and Mary" are en joying their retirement years here in Lakeland Park.
