It becomes unnatural, an' little by little, th' incentive, natural t' th' male, in life on this planet, t' pervide, pertect an' shoulder th' main r'spon- sibilities, fades out o' his nature, an' he loses th' in centive t' be master o' his domain. Women 're brainwashin' th' men wi' their persuasive wiles, inter believin' they need somethin' else besides th' homemakin' t' keep 'em healthy, but if ye ask me, a good many o' these gals enjoy workin' 'cause it puts 'em in contact wi' other males. If ye think back a few years, when women found keepin' th' home a full-time job, an' made a business o' doin' a good job at it, there wasn't as much crime, especially among th' younger set, an' all in all, everthih' seemed t' be in a better, an' happier state. The highlight of the meeting was the annual Halloween program given by the McHenry Senior Citizens club kitchen band - "Toe Tappin' Tunes of 1973". The program was very diversified, consisting of current tunes, old-timers, semi- classical and marches, band numbers, solos, sing-along, and the ten ladies playing on "Tea Pots". The standing ovation and thunderous applause at the end of the program attested to the fact that everyone truly en joyed the band. The members were very, happy to present the program to their own club. The nfext meeting of the Senior Citizens club will be Monday evening, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m., at East campus cafeteria. Ticket sales are beginning the first week in November. Members of the cast and Drama club members will have tickets available at that time. The play will be given at McHenry high school West campus auditorium at 8 p.m Nov. 16, 17 and 18. women, free from home cares, but th' ones who ought t' be home, makin' it a place where th' family loves t' be, an' takin' care o' herself so's she may be in a mood t' help an' cheer th' members o' th' family when they return to th' refuge o' lovin' care o' a good wife an' mother. Women ha' become bored wi' th' greatest job th' world pervides, an' seek th' will-o-th'- wisp excitement, seemin'ly offered by th' commercial world. They see th' men go out t' their jobs, an' they git ideas that there's somethin' glamorous about it. Then they git th' itch t' do likewise, an' that disease needs t' be cured, if we e'er expect t' rear younguns wi' th' kind o' per spective this world needs. It bothers this granny, watchin' th' way th' men 're a changin' in their attitude, so gradually they ain't hardly aware o' it, 'emselves. I've seen women deliberately at tempt t' break th' man's self- confidence, his inborn natural ego that makes him attractive to th' opposite sex. Women, most o' 'em, 're like childern, needin' discipline an' en couragement, an' seems t' me that when they got out o' line, th' younguns followed suit, so we find society beset wi' female adults, along wi' th' youth, breakin' th' traces, an' up- settin' th' apple-cart.* Grandma Radtke DIVORCES Karen Marino from Jacob Marino, McHenry.
