The "Craziest ~ Show on Earth" comes to Marian Central Catholic high school on Sunday, Dec. 9, when donkey basketball takes the hardcourt in the Hurricane gym. Two games of fun will be played beginning with the 7:30 p.m. match up between a team of McHenry County Sheriff's Department officers and McHenry Fire Department versus the Marian Central Fathers' club. Leading the sheriff's men will be Sheriff Art Tyrrell and he will be joined by Chief Deputy Henry Nulle, George Meyers, Bill Mullen and Jim Fitzgerald. The McHenry Fire Department representatives will be Wayne Amore, Ray Simon, Tom Michaelson, Gary Gough, Brian Klonz, Chris Bennett and Hal Harris. Word is out that the firemen are in excellent shape for the game as they play donkey basketball in their spare time. The Fathers' club of Marian is indeed worthy opposition to the sheriff's men and firemen as they are led by John Dwyer, Dan Lennon, Chuck Martina, Stan Jozwiak, Ed Jackson, Jack Steadman, Pat Pierce, Merrill Johnson, John Orso and leading the charge will be Jack Sebesta. The second game of the evening matches the Marian football players and cheerleaders versus the Marian faculty. The footballers are Tom Cote, Jack Sebesta, Marty Palmer, Mark Keil, Mike Pierce, Brian Duffy, Tom Corcoran, and John Craig. Cheerleaders are Kasey An derson, Annette Pitzen and Marg Overton. The fast riding faculty team will be led by head football coach, Tom Parker, George Parthemore, Bob Gough, Lou Hartlieb, Rosemary Rowles, Sharon Sasch, Joyce Malone, Vic ("Dracula") Meuch, John Burke, John Powers and Principal Tom Parsley. Yes, fans, Count Dracula Meuch will be making a special ap pearance and will frighten all with his Hollywood style. The donkeys will love him! Two important rules will be in effect for this game: baskets can only be scored while sitting on a donkey and loose balls can be picked up only when holding on to a donkey.
