Dec. 5, 1973) HUNTLEY SEEKS MCC ANNEXATION (Continued from page 1) foundation is being held Dec. 17 at the college for the purpose of organizing a membership drive to get people to help in these efforts. The board of trustees unanimously agreed to recognize the foundation and gave full support to the group. In other action, the board authorized the purchase of tax anticipation warrants in the amount of $270,000 for the Education fund and $80,000 for the Building and Maintenance fund. The warrants will be purchased from McHenry State Bank at 4% percent interest per annum. Repayment will be made upon receipt of real estate tax distributions. Dr. Davis mentioned that the Illinois House voted to override Gov. Walker's reduction veto of the Junior college ap­ propriation. This restores the legislative intent of $18.50 per credit hour and will mean an additional $22,000 to $24,000 for McHenry County college. Bids were approved to purchase equipment for the following departments: Theatre - $340.26; Mathematics - $89.50; Learning Resource Center Library - $23,750; LRC Audio-Visual equipment - $7,500; Photography - $108.69; Agriculture - $358.60; Secretarial Science - $496; Electronics - $4,080; Speech - $164.70; Welding - $1,436.45; Industrial Mathematics - $149.50; Upholstery - $224.31; Sewing - $1,536.60; Automotive - $3,679.50; Biology - $8,175.08 and Data Processing - $429.45. Wiltshire drive, Whispering Oaks, McHenry, died Wed­ nesday, Nov. 28, in a Hinsdale hospital. He was 66 years old. Mr. Dass was stricken with a heart attack while driving home after visiting his daughter. The deceased was born in Chicago Feb. 16,1907, and came to McHenry six years ago. He was a retired Illinois Bell Telephone installer. Mr Dass was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. His wife, Anna W. (Kurth) died Jan. 14,1972. Survivors are one son, Theodore, Jr., of Wonder Lake, one daughter, Mrs. Don (Joanne) Black of Downers Grove; ten grand­ children and one sister, Ethel Nordeen, of Clearwater, Fla. The body rested at the Peter M. Justen & Son chapel, where the Rev. Ralph Smith, pastor of the First United Methodist church, officiated at last rites Saturday at 1 p.m. Burial was in Memorial park cemetery, Skokie. Memoirals were asked for Sunset Manor Nursing home, Woodstock. . CAROL GOORSKY Last rites were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Querhammer funeral home, Crystal Lake, for Mrs. Carol Jean Goorsky, 37 , of 335 E. Riverside drive, Lakemoor, who died Saturday, Dec. 1, in McHenry hospital. Mrs. Goorsky was born Aug. 31, 1936, in McHenry county, the daughter of Howard and Mamie Pauline King Ketchun. From a small service station, the young Willys built his business into one of the largest in the city - and all against increasing Competition.
