Two items in particular were that the school must increase portions and it was strongly suggested that these be in creased one-third to one-half over minimum requirements the school is serving young adults. The bid of Payton Chevrolet was accepted to provide a truck. The low bid of Payton was in the amount of $4,516. Bids of McHenry Garage and Mitchell Olds, Buick were $4,888 and $4,675, respectively. Because of complaints by East campus teachers regarding supervision of students loading buses after school, the board granted the expenditure of $4 a day for this responsibility if volunteers can be obtained. Teachers had cited a number of circumstances which were said to possibly be in violation of policy. Supervision is deemed necessary because East's enrollment has risen from 875 in 1968 to 1,200 this year; also, as a result of the ninth and tenth grade arrangement, most students do not drive and about 1,000 board buses each night. By unanimous vote, the board concurred with action taken by District 15 in sup porting what is known as the "Crystal Lake plan" in regard to developing a common for mula for donations of land or cash by developers. Plans are being made to hold a meeting with the various state legislators from this county to review possible support from their level. ) Sunday, Dec. 23, at 7:30 in the evening.
