PLAN ANNUAL BRUNCH- Steering committee members planning the annual brunch of the Women's auxiliary of the Family Service and Mental Health Clinic of McHenry County are, seated, •Laura Chelini, McHenry; Esther Perez, Woodstock; Chairman Lynn Schaffer, Cary; Julie Jessup, McHenry; and standing, Margaret Brlnckmann and Barbara Powers of Harvard. The brunch is the annual meeting of the auxiliary and an opportunity for interested womenjto join the group. It will be held Feb. 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Branded Steak House in Crystal Lake. 'Spring Thing" is the name given to the annual meeting and membership brunch given by the Women's auxiliary of the Family Service and Mental Health Clinic of McHenry county. Area women who are interested in learning about the auxiliary are cordially invited to attend. The general membership meets as a group just once a year. At this annual meeting, women who have contributed time and effort to various projects for the clinic are honored with certificates of appreciation. There will also be an election of officers for the coming year. \ A timely program has been planned by the committee. The Rev. Dr. Anthony J. Becker of Elgin will speak on evil and exorcism in the 20th century in a program entitled, "The Devil Made Me Do It". This topic is under much discussion recently with the release of a motion picture dealing with exor­ cism. Father Becker is a registered psychologist and an authority in the field of graphology. He is a teacher, counselor and well known lecturer. The champagne brunch will be a buffet featuring many dishes including fresh fruits, assorted salads ana braised beef in tomato sauce. Eleven of the salon's members attended the meeting, which was conducted by the petite chapeau, Mrs. Roy (Loretta) Homo. Among the business discussed at this meeting was a report by Mrs. Arnold (May) Chesak, nurse's scholarship chairman. She reported that at this time, great emphasis is being placed on the training of nurses specializing in the care and treatment of tubercular patients. Information and special literature is being placed in area hospitals, with special reference to the requirements, training and duties of this specialized branch of nursing. It is felt that this program will be most productive in the improved prevention, care and treatment of this disease.
