County Farm Bureau Bowlers Qualify In Illinois State Finals McHenry County Farm Bureau bowlers qualified three entries for the Illinois Farm Sports State finals with first place victories at the Rockford District tournament last weekend. The two five-member teams and the husband-and-wife entry will vie at the state meet on March 9 at Springfield, preparing for their first line at 1:30 p.m. Winners of six district tourneys from around the state will vie at the finals. Last year's entries did slightly better at the District, qualifying three teams and the same husband-and-wife entry of Larry and Susan Okeson, Hebron. With points awarded for participation more than on victories, the ability to qualify 12 people for the state meet is a handsome plus although not quite as much as in 1973 when 17 advanced through three teams and the husband-and- wife doubles victories. Taking thirds were: Hal Simon, Marengo, 523, and Tim Wheelock, McHenry, 518-1,041 in the open Class Mixed Doubles. SPORTS C0RI\l[R Two questions H/H&J ~TRE PROFESSIONAL.
