Margason, a resident of Wonder Lake, has been elected vice-president- labor relations of the Rock Island lines, according to an announcement from T.E. Desch, chairman and chief executive officer, and W.J. Dixon, presided of the railroad. Margason resides with his wife, Ronny, and family at 7704 Camellia court, in Wonder Lake. He attended a one-year Management Development seminar at the University of Chicago in 1962-63. Margason began work for the Rock Island Lines as a ticket- yard clerk at Dalhart, Texas, in May, 1949. Following two years of service in the U.S. Army during the Korean war, he returned to the Rock Island, in 1954. Subsequently, he was promoted to schedule examiner, at Rock Island, and then to assistant personnel officer, Chicago. He was promoted to labor relations officer in June, 1957, and was named director of ' labor relations in June, 1964. In 1970 he joined the first National bank of Kenosha as assistant trust officer and later was promoted to trust officer and assistant vice-president. He has been active in many civic endeavors, including service as an elected member of the Kenosha County board of supervisors, chairman of the Kenosha Comprehensive Mental Health and Alcoholic and Drug Abuse board and on the board of Comprehensive Health Planning agency of southeastern Wisconsin, Inc.
