You'll be happy to know that a hearing officer has been assigned and a public hearing will be held as soon as a date, time and place can be agreed upon by the complainants and the hearing officer. As you must realize, it is now necessary to gather as much testimony and facts as possible to be sure the problems are presented properly at the hearing. Those of you who have or have had problems with your water should phone Alderman Lavergne Hromec (385-0194) and let your complaints be known and expressed at the hearing. And, of course, attendance at the hearing is extremely important. I will report the location, date and time of the hearing as soon as I have that information. In the meantime, please be sure to contact Lavergne to express any problems you have had or are having with the Lakeland Park water. LUNCHEON A SUCCESS! Approximately 150 persons attended the annual spring luncheon and card party sponsored by the Lakeland Park Women's club. The festive event was held Wednesday, April 3, at St. Patrick's hall. EASTER WISHES Is Easter Spring? Easter baskets, Easter eggs and Jelly beans? Our copy of the American Collegiate Dictionary says "Easter l. an annual Christian festival in commemoration the resurrection of Jesus Christ, observed on the first Sunday after the full moon that occurs on or next after March 21. 2. the dayman which this festival is celebrated." To us, Easter is all of these things, but most important to us is the opportunity to get together with family and-or friends to celebrate both a religious event and a happy day. Won't you phone and let us share in your Easter Sunday celebrations? Sincere Happy Easter wishes to all of you! by taking our animals into their homes, would appreciate any help you can give us. If you have something that you think we could use, please give me a call at 385-6912. It may not seem like much to you, but our animals may be able to use it. If you have lost or found an animal, or if you wish to adopt one, please call our office at 459-2641 Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Maybe we can help you find just what you've been looking for. Easter seems to be the time for cute little bunnies, and fuzzy yellow chickens. Before you do purchase one of these four your child, I wish you would first think of the animal. If you have little ones, they're apt to^love that fuzzy bunny to death, they don't mean to, but these little ones don't realize, their Easter present is a baby itself. A few days after Easter the novelty of the gift has worn off, and then your first thought is to find it a new home. But most of the time, the animal doesn't live past the first few days. Is it really worth it, to see the look on your child's face, when he finds his beautiful little Easter present dead, and there you stand, trying to explain?
