The seminar was sponsored by the McHenry County Board of Catholic Education and included members of the County Catholic board as well as board members of the seven parochial elementary schools in the county. Van Fleet addressed the group on the proper role of boards in formulating school policy. Father Brady pointed out that the foundation concept is growing among many Catholic dioceses across the country, and that the results of the project in McHenry county will be presented to the National Association of Catholic School Boards at its annual convention in Cleveland, April 15-18. The McHenry County Board of Catholic Education is the supervisory agency which promotes the educational mission of the church in the fourteen parishes of the county.
