Last Monday evening a meeting was held for the teenagers of our village. The meeting was a great success and the turnout was overwhelming. It was decided to form a youth club and the teens held an election of officers with the following results: President-Debbie Roberts, Vice-President-Mike Roberts, Secretary-Kim Olbinski and Treasurer, Kathy Szerszen. The future meetings will be held at the village hall on the first and third Mondays of each month; time, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. It was also decided by the teens present that a small fee per person would be collected at each meeting to help defer costs of upcoming activities. If you would like to join, please attend the next meeting scheduled for May 6....See you there! A bus trip to Wrigley Field on June 2 is the next social function planned for the residents of McHenry Shores. Keep your eyes and ears opened for further information. The village clerk is also a notary public for those who may need this service. The fire stickers as well as the 1974-75 Illinois fishing information brochure oan be secured free of charge. The clerk's office is open Monday 2 to 4 p.m. and Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The village board meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the village hall. OVERNITE PARKING I have been informed by our police chief to remind our readers that overnite parking between the hours of two a.m. and six a.m. is prohibited by virtue of Ordinance No. 4, Section 5.07. Tickets will be issued to violators. VEHICLE STICKERS Vehicle stickers are still available for those who have not yet secured their stickers and for new cars there is the replacement stickers. New residents have 30 days before being in violation. Motorcycles must also be registered in the village limits. The motorcycle stickers are now available and the cost is $2. Several Local Students Named To SIU Dean List Nearly 21 percent of the u n d e r g r a d u a t e s t u d e n t s enrolled at Southern Illinois university-Carbondale were cited to the Dean's list for o u t s t a n d i n g a c a d e m i c achievement. According to the SIU-C Office of Admissions and Records, a total of 4,284 students were posted to the list. Students who earned straight A's were Ginidir M.
