The two morning worship services will be combined into one big rally-type service to be held in the church gymnasium, starting at 9:30 a.m. If the attendance record of 409 is broken, Pastor Virgle Chappell has agreed to let a member of the church throw a pie at him. This has caused much excitement and the membership is busy calling all their friends, asking them to church. Dr. James H. Smith will be the guest speaker April 28. He is the executive secretary of the Illinois Baptist State association. "We've had many special days and several days have been designated as "Great days," but what I am asking God for this time is truly a "Miracle day!" was the expectant statement of Pastor Virgle L. Chappell. "There hav§*been very few times when we have seen the truly outstanding happen here at our church. Perhaps many of the things which we experience Unusual Film To Be Shown At McHenry Church The Occult, a new 16mm, sound, motion picture, will be shown at the First United Methodist church Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. • Hal Lindsey, author of two best sellers ("Late Great Planet Earth" and "The Devil is Alive and Well on Planet Earth") guides viewers to the bizarre world of the occult declaring it to be not just a passing fad but a vital part of the continuing struggle of Satan -here would be miracles in other churches, but God has always blessed this church and given us much for which to praise His Name!" "But now, April 28, I believe God wants to give us a "Miracle day!" Not just a miracle in attendance but also a miracle offering. We could have a miracle commitment of Christians to seek to serve Him. We could see a miracle of professions of faith. We could have a miracle baptismal service following the rally," concluded Pastor Chappell. This is the conclusion of a three-week stewardship program in the local Baptist church.
