Community Calendar Fine Arts Group Offers Summer Theatre The Woodstock Fine Arts association announces that it will again sponsor, in cooperation with the Illinois Arts council, the Woodstock Summer Theatre Festival 1974 at the Opera House in Woodstock. The Festival began last summer as the first professional training program for McHenry county young people. This summer, all aspects of the theatre will be taught in daily classes in addition to frequent seminars in technical theatre and at least two major stage productions. The selection and number of major productions will depend largely on the number of students enrolled in the program and available for casting. However, it is hoped that the opening show will be cast with high school-college level actors, while the second production will be cast with the elementary and junior high school students. Ideally, each student will be given the opportunity to participate? in a fully mounted stage production if it is his or her wish. Registration will be coming up in May at the Opera house.
