Riding near New Munster *, Sunday, we saw a Christmas tree and Santa Claus in a window. Probably just checking -- "Will you love me in May as you did in December?" Just checked and there are only 237 shopping days 'til Christmas. Our White Sox seem to win 'em close or lose 'em big. Club fans can find consolation in the fact that their team is building. In fact, they won a penant in 1945 and have been rebuilding ever since. Just give them time. Tennis is building up to major sports status. Eddie Mathews signed his first major league contract while wearing a tuxedo and attending his high school prom.
