THIRD GRADE FIELD TRIP On a sunny and warm Monday, May 20, all the third grade classes at Edgebrook school participated in their first field trip. . The students, teachers, and parent chaperones boarded three buses, which were to shuttle them to the train station in Crystal Lake. From there the group was to travel by train to downtown Chicago for a field trip to the Field Museum and the Shedd Aquarium. Unfortunately, the group arrived at the train station just in time to see the train pull out of the station. The day was not a loss, though, as the bus drivers took the group downtown. view the museum and the others the aquarium. At the museum they saw dinosaur bones, many varieties of animals, recreations of Indian homes, the ages of mankind, displays of rocks and ore samples found throughout the world, and much more. The group touring the aquarium viewed many types of fish in their natural settings. There is so much to see at each place that the groups could not spend nearly as much time at each of the displays as they wanted, but hopefully the kids will take a return visit with their families and can spend more time.
