Andreas' front porch had a tree on it, Larry Lehmkuhls had limbs across their back porch, and of course others thai yours truly didn't know about directly. Are you a sky watcher??? Well last week lots of folks did just that. They sky watched to see that they weren't dreaming. They saw a large green balloon in the sky and two people in it, and it traveled from south of McHenry to north of our fair town, didn't hear where it landed but guess if you are the adventurous type of person these balloons can be rented by the hour in Fox River Grove or Cary area. Too much excitement, noise and handling will make an animal very nervous. Let him get used to your family and household before you invite the neighborhood children in. Remember, he has no way of knowing you are friendly and kind until you show him. Remember, kittens and puppies are not "bad" if they chew things or wet the rug. They are very young and do not understand what you want. It is up to you to think for them and prevent these things from happening. Do not try to train or discipline them until they know you. Don't raise your voice or you will end up with a nervous animal. Start his training later, when your pet is sure of you. Patience and gentleness at the beginning of your pet's life with you will reward you later with a calm, loving and well- adjusted companion.
